Spanish Intensive Group Classes 20 Hours p/Week | Vamos Academy Buenos Aires
Overview
All students, except for those who have never studied Spanish before, need to go through our placement process before their first Spanish class. This allows our academic director to accurately determine the skill level and needs of each student. During the assessment, we also take into consideration a student’s language learning background, as well as other languages they may speak. Balancing the results of the assessment with these other considerations means that students are placed as accurately and appropriately as possible.

Spent four weeks here. A few minor complaints which would be that not all professors speak with clear neutral accent which can make it tricky. Lots of paperwork type activities and not enough interactive learning. I took a week off between the other batch of classes, but when I asked for the four week discount for the other three weeks they refused which was disappointing. They don't provide notebooks, pens, or classroom books, so it is unclear what you'll be learning until the moment of and need to bring your own supplies. Other than those points, I enjoyed my time and learned a lot, I felt challenged but placed well, I enjoyed the professors and they have a great facility that's easy to get to in the morning. The one week introduction course was great as a complete Spanish beginner! The one week introduction course was great as a complete Spanish beginner! We followed an exercise book, but the teacher was also very flexible and included games and conversation topics whenever there was extra time. Because the classes are small (Max 5 students), the lessons felt personal and the teacher was always open to any questions. The free extra workshops after class were a fun way to practice conversational Spanish!! We enjoyed the mate class and gestures workshops. Also, a very positive and organised team - Derek was responsive and helpful when booking classes and asking questions!!I chose to take a week of Spanish classes because, travelling in South America, I realised that I wanted to better connect with Spanish speakers. I chose to take a week of Spanish classes because, travelling in South America, I realised that I wanted to better connect with Spanish speakers. The week’s introduction to the language shored up the basics I had tried to teach myself, but Vamos really excelled in offering chances to test out this Spanish in extra sessions on Mate and typical Argentinian gestures. Hearing teachers speak about their country in their own language was fantastic. Vamos is also extremely welcoming as soon as you arrive - the environment is perfect for meeting new people.I did two weeks of full-on intensive classes with Antonella, and it far exceeded my expectations! I did two weeks of full-on intensive classes with Antonella, and it far exceeded my expectations! The class was small, allowing great interaction, but also intense, moving at a rapid pace, including theory, fun games and conversation. There is free tea and coffee, and wonderful activities every day for students. I also did a few private lessons with Jessica who was also excellent. I would highly recommend Vamos Academy, and will be back soon for more!A place where good facilities, teachers and people from all over the world meet. With around two extra activities per day you're sure to make friends and with their well thought out level system you'll be sure to make progress!

My experience at Vamos Spanish was fantastic. The classes are well structured and the school is well organised. Thanks to Derek for sorting our group classes and homestay at such short notice (less than a week)! Our teacher Jessica was fantastic - there was a mixture of grammar, conversation and vocabulary along with fun games to reinforce what we were learning. She was great at helping each person in the small class individually with anything they were struggling with. We were beginners and learned a lot in just one week! Our homestay accommodation with Fabiana and Renée was so enjoyable as we were able to practice what we were learning in class whilst also being introduced to Argentinian culture. I would highly recommend Vamos Spanish to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. If I was staying longer I would definitely take more classes :)
