Fantastic experience! I had so much fun :) Glenn (the business owner) took the time to teach us how to use the Segways. He is a very patient and effective teacher. Me and my spouse had a blast! They are quite easy to use. It feels like you are riding on a magic carpet! A great way to experience Stanley Park and coal harbour. They were way more user friendly than I thought! This was my first time on a Segway. This was my first time on a Segway. It took Glen about ten minutes to get me comfortable stepping onto and off the machine, which is of course gyro-stabilized. But I'm not: I'm 67! So at first I was a bit wobbly, but after ten minutes we were able to get moving, slowly, into the park via the bike path. And by twenty minutes I was riding it like a pro. Well, not quite, but it was easy, fun, and I didn't fall off. The trick is that first ten minutes learning how to step onto it, and how to just gently tilt yourself forward to get it moving. Turning is easy, just a light push with the left or right leg into the centre column. All in all this was a very enjoyable experience and Glen is an excellent instructor, making sure you are safe before heading off (with him beside or behind you). Totally worth doing, especially if you only have a few hours or days in Vancouver. The two tours are both done on paved bike paths separated from traffic. You do have to watch out for cyclists, but the path around Stanley Park is one-way, so you don't have oncoming bikers. It can be a bit tiring on the legs, but Glen stops for photos, for commentary, and to have a snack. He supplies helmet, gloves, knee and elbow pads: didn't need 'em, thankfully, but glad to have them on! He can be found either at Vancouver Wizard Wheels or Vancouver Segway Tours. Good guy, good gear, great experience.Glen was an excellent teacher as he taught us how to ride the balance boards. He's an amazing photographer as well. It was a fun and exhilarating experience. I'd highly recommend this as it worth a second ride!
