We asked Viator to visit Cousino Macul, Concha y Toro, and Santa Rita, with tastings only (no tour), and a stop for lunch. They said this was no problem and so we booked the tour. None of what we asked for was communicated to the driver. As a result, we spent all day (instead of 4-5 hours) in a hot van and didn't get to visit Cousino Macul because the tour operator didn't bother to call for a tasting reservation. Viator makes promises, but does not communicate with their local providers. Also, Viator refused a partial refund for their mistakes. Avoid this tour.

That's trap! We bought this tour, received the confirmation and in the day of the tour they ghosted. I've waited for more than 4 hours and no one ever came or replied us.

Good tour. But did not get pick up time until 2 hours prior. And local agency did not know I had paid for optional lunch. Got fixed, but driver/guide at MTO had hard time to verify, so much confusion at lunch.

Very good tour. Valparaiso part of the tour was amazing. The fish market and the walking tour of the historic area were especially good. Francesca was an excellent, knowledgeable and helpful guide. The lunch place that we went to was pretty expensive. The wine tasting at Veramonte was very limited - only two average quality wines were tasted. From the tour description, I thought the Wine tasting would be more extensive. Still, a very good day.

To be fair, they changed us to this tour from our original pick of a 3 Winery tour, because they said that several of the wineries were only open in the morning that day. So we went on this tour of 2 wineries instead. Both wineries were good, though Concha del Toro was a bit of a “machine” that just pumped vast numbers of people through. Santa Rita was absolutely wonderful, the best part being that because we had so much time to waste, we had wine on the terrace. But the issue with this tour is that There was 45 hours in between wine tours. And the wineries are quite close to each other. Even with a long long lunch and wine on the terrace, we had a ridiculous amount of time to waste. The first winery runs tours every 10 min, so they could have certainly planned it later and thus more efficiently. The second issue was that we did not have a guide but rather a driver. So if you want to hear about history or get information about the region, you won’t. After the first tour which stated at 10;10 and took an hour, our driver explained the lunch options roughly, but not overly well, but didn’t inform us that the next tour was at 2:45pm! We took a simpler lunch, not knowing how much time we needed to kill, and ended up at Santa Rita with 2.5 hours to kill, even though we took our time at lunch. Though if you do get stuck in this situation, go to the restaurant at Santa Rita, and ask to sit on the terrace and drink wine. We tried several wines- given we had over 2 hours, and this was quite nice, though again, we had to figure that part out for ourselves. The issue is that things were not well explained, and planned poorly.

The tour included transportation, some guiding but mainly arranging visit at the vineyards in Maipo. This is great if you want to visit many vineyards in a day and can not/it is not efficient to organise it yourselves. The vineyards was great and offered good tours and good tastings. Note that tasting is the classic/basic and not premiums wines so that is extra. Overall a very good and great tour that is recommended.

A really special day made so much better by our wonderful tour guide Pedro (Peter). We thoroughly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic time on this tour. The driver was very nice and even went a bit out of his way to pick us up which we really appreciated. We stopped at Undurraga and Concha y Toro, which were both beautiful wineries with some very nice wines. Undurraga we only had one other couple with us on our English tour which we really enjoyed as it made the tour feel more personal. Overall a wonderful experience.

The timing for this tour among the three wineries visited was quite poorly managed. After touring the first winery, we were told that there would be a 3.5 hour wait until the tour of the second winery started and that we should use the time to get lunch. But it was 11:15 AM and we were not ready for lunch. So we asked to be taken to the second winery and we would skip the tour and just have the tasting. But there was no communication between our driver, the tour window and the tasting room and we were going to be charged for tasting even though we had paid for a tasting and a tour. Our driver paid a fee and we were able to taste. We then were driven to the third winery where a tour in English just happened to be starting and we joined and were allowed to taste. When the tour was booked on VIATOR, we were not given an option of which level of wines to taste and so we had to pay extra to taste the best wines. All in all a very disappointing day considering the cost.

This small group tour turned out to be a private driver (Diego) taking us to Concha y Toro and Santa Rita wineries. The tours at each winery consisted of about 10 people. Our tour guide explain the process of wine making as we walked thru the beautiful Concha y Toro estate and grounds. First tasting was a Sauvignon Blanc Reserva Trio, chilled to perfection. The setting was outside over looking the Andes Mountains with rows and rows of grape vines surrounded by red and white roses. We visited the old wine cellar as the Castillo del Diablo story played over the loud speakers. Second tasting was the famous wine made with the grape Carmenere which is exclusive to Chile and has a great story. My favorite red was Carbernet Sauvignon Terrunyo . Diego took us to a great place for lunch near by and we order way too much food which was delicious! Next stop was Santa Rita Winery which was a beautiful Spanish hancienda nestled at the bottom of the Andes Mountains with amazing views. The guide provided much more detail into the wine process with tours of the aging process in steel barrels, bottling and original wine cellar. The tasting consisted of 3x Reds and 1x White all were excellent. My favorite was Secret Reserva Carbernet Sauvignon. The day was beautiful sunny blue skies excellent for strolling thru the vineyards. This is a MUST DUE if you are visiting Chile!Sandra

We were picked up at our apartment by Edison. He was very knowledgeable about the area and an excellent guide and driver. We had a very interesting tour of Concha y Toro which consisted of a stroll through their beautiful grounds with stops for 3 different tastings built into the tour. Guide from the winery was also excellent. Our group consisted of only 10 people. We had time to check out the wine store and purchase some wine. We then were taken to a local restaurant El Manso Toro Steakhouse and Grill for lunch which was extensive with very good food and service. We purchased wine by the glass to go with lunch. Our next stop was Santa Rita Winery. We got there little too late for a scheduled tour our fault because we dallied over lunch but visited an amazing Museum of very high quality on the grounds which was started by the owner of the winery. Given that we have toured many wineries in the past, the Museum was a very good alternative until the time for our tasting. The tasting was set up in the courtyard in a very relaxed manner with 3 generous samples brought to our table. We then had time to visit the wine store to purchase wine. Both wineries had excellent wines. We would highly recommend this tour!

Tour guide was pleasant and spoke English well. The 3 vineyards were beautiful with excellent guide. The lunch was surprising: didn't look like much from outside or inside but food plentiful and excellent.

We expected a small group but we were picked up by a car and there were just us. THe driver/tour guide was not very informative, just answered our questions. We visited 3 wineries. Our schedule for the last was 15:30 and yet he brought to an off-the-road lousy pizza place for quick lunch. Worst experience ever.

In spite of visiting everything in the program, the driver arrived a little later and the trip was delayed by unexpected traffic near one of the vineyards. On a nice note, the driver took as for a drive on Maipo valley in the end of the tour, to compensate for the above mentioned issues.

The tour was very good, the car is confortable and we loved concha y toro e urruaga. we did not like that much santa Rita.
The guide Rodrigo was very nice all the time and helped us with our cell phone that was forgot at concha y toro so he went back there with my friend, but as expected he charged for it. Later he offered to us instead of leaving us at our apartment to go with us at the central market for lunch, but he never said it was going to charged separately. when we arrived at the market it was that perfect tourist cilada when they surrounded us and took us from inside the car directly inside the restaurant so we could not choose other restaurant. after that he he took us back to the apartment and charged more 10000 pesos.
