What to expect
If you book the optional lunch at the farm, you will have lunch there. Otherwise, you come back to the city for lunch (at own expense).
Next, your guide will take to the check the main highlights of downtown: The Iguana Park, The Cathedral, The Malecon 2000 and Las Peñas neighborhood. By the end of this activity, you will be driven back to your hotel.

We had a great experience, bus is in good conditions, clean and driver is very good. We visited the cocoa farm, we made our own chocolate bar, eat a 3 course lunch (farm to table) and enjoy a very nice cocoa drink. Everybody at the farm was very nice with us. We recommend this tour.The trip to the cocoa farm and learning how chocolate is made was fascinating. Lunch was extremely good. 3 courses of wonderful food. Last, but not least, the tour owner and guide, Mario, is outstanding. Very knowledgeable and he made the total experience well worth it.

This is nothing short of a fantastic trip! However, what truly makes it an incredible experience is the thought and perspective the host, Mario, puts into it. Additionally, the interactions with the family at their farm is something you can't truly appreciate until you experience it; at a cultural, culinary, and personal level. This tour was something we added at the last minute, for our final day in Ecuador, after having already spent 11 days exploring the country. What we experienced that day, took our overall positive trip and took it to a next level.Wonderful day trip that allows you to experience the full chocolate making process. Great guide.
