What to expect
Then, you will proceed to the tasting of delicious extra virgin olive oils and typical products of the Piceno area. Toast with fine local wine in a typical Italian atmosphere. Then, you will take part in an olive oil tasting session led by an Italian master tester: learn more curiosities about olive oil production traditions.
Before coming back home, don't forget to visit the cozy shop where you can find the main typical products of the area, as well as the cosmetic products made from this unique olive oil.

DOMENICO titolare del frantoio che, arrivato alla terza generazione, porta avanti con tutta la passione di famiglia. Un tour guidato che inizia dalla storia dell'azienda con nozioni di storia su Ascoli Piceno, finendo con un' ottima degustazione di tutti i tipi di olio da loro prodotti e assaggi di prodotti locali (che più che assaggi un vero e proprio pranzo) realizzati dalla moglie. It was a wonderful experience. We arrived 15 minutes early but for some reason, Tripadvisor had not notified them. Apparently this was not the first time this happened to them Nonetheless, they quickly improvised and gave us a full tasting explaining the diferent qualities of oil and how it was made. He also provided us with food samplings as well as a little wine to go. At the end he gave us a litlle certificate to say we completed our oil tasting course. The owner was very friendly and we bought some of his products. We would visit him again. We highly recommend this tour.Valentino and his family were absolutely most welcoming! The experience is well worth the price. It took place in a family owned olive oil mill who were very welcoming. We got a tour of the facility which has both the machinery for the traditional & modernized production of olive oil, which was fascinating to learn about. The olive oil tasting itself was fun as we learnt how to pick out and recognize differences between the various olive oils. Then my friends and I were pleasantly surprised when platters of food came out at the end for us to enjoy. Overall excellent experience, a highlight of our holiday!The Fratoni family love their business of making the best olive oil available and Valentino Fratoni provides interesting insights into the process of making it.
