it's a beautiful tour -but not long enough - we drove more than spent time in the area. Not much free time to see or shop or eat as a matter of fact.
The tour guide (Nicola) was delightful, however we couldn’t really see the point of the 20 minute stop at Peschiera. Boat trip was great. I’m sure Sirmione is lovely if you like shops but it was so crowded!
Beautiful setting, nice boat ride, plenty of restaurants, many different types of shops for shopping and bargains
Our guide was great - informative and fun. One of the highlights of our holiday. Stunning views of the area and Sirmione was just beautiful. Highly recommended!
The trip was a bit touristic, but the day was saved thanks to the two guides, Leonardo and Nicole, who have great knowledge of the area and its history.
Our guide was great, the boat ride was amazing and the money is well worth it! Just wished we could stay longer in Lake Garda.
So worth the money and time spent on this tour and our guide was delightful!
Absolutely loved this tour. Our guide was lovely and knowledgeable. The places she took us to were so pretty and loved having time to ourselves.
A wonderful afternoon. Irene, our guide really made the trip fun. Sirmione is a very pretty town. Only wish it was about an hour longer for more time to walk around Sirmione.
This was a great tour. Irene was very knowledgeable and passionate about what she was talking about and was very friendly and welcoming. The sights and the history behind them were very interesting and I would recommend this tour.
We had a small group and Irene was lovely! A local who has lived in the Verona area and surrounds for many years. She was flexible, knowledgeable, on time and happy to answer any questions and pass on her knowledge about any Italian topic we wanted to discuss. Thank you Irene I look forward to seeing you again.
This is a great trip from Verona. Our tour guide was wonderful -very knowledgeable and friendly and the group was great fun. We went to Lake Garda by very comfortable mini bus and then stopped at Peschiera to catch our boat to Sirmione. Out Venetian style boat had broken something that morning but by the time we arrived an alternative boat had already been organised. A great trip around the peninsula on a beautiful sunny day then stopped at Sirmione. The only thing I would have liked was more time here. We only had about 45 mins after the boat trip so had to choose between the castle and the town. I couldn't resist the spectacular castle and views from it's walls but the town looked lovely too . Only enough time to grab a gelato best ever - chocolate fondant and orange before returning back to Verona I highly recommend this trip and the local tour company that runs it - Veronality . If I'd taken a full day one it would have been even better. Definitely 5 stars.
Finding the place that we were to leave from was a little difficult. But the day was good. A visit to the castle would have been interesting.
This tour was worth every penny. Lovely lady called Irene was the guide, very knowledgeable and the boat trip to Sirmione from Lake Garda was amazing wouldn't have missed it for anything. Hope the wedding went well Irene. x
A lovely trip out, allowing you the opportunity to see the countryside beyond Verona and the stunning lake Garda. The trip included a water taxi over to Sirmione which was excellent as you could appreciate the splendour of the views on all sides of the lake. Irene was charming company but she was more of a driver and organiser than guide. She did answer questions and point out some points of interest but there was little time for more. I would certainly recommend this trip for it's views and the opportunity to see Sirmione.
This trip was great fun, really worth it. We were driven by bus to the lake, then transferred to an old venetian taxi boat for a blast around the lake before being dropped off at Sirmione.
Loved it all and highly recommend it,
We really enjoyed our trip. Van without a good aircon was really tough on the people in the back seat. I'd recommend aircon for those hot summer days. The boat trip was nice, but again very hot. Using the Venice style taxi is cute, but VERY warm on the inside. Loved our guide, loved Sirmione. Great trip overall
AMAZING!! One of the best tours we had in Italy. I am defintely staying at Sirmione for my next trip to Italy. The boat trip was so worth it too :)
Nice tour to get introduced to Lake Garda. Our group consisted of just 6 and Irene, our guide, was very nice. She was friendly, a good driver, and had a lot to say about the area.
We had the option of choosing a taxi-boat from Peschiera to Sirmione and back or drive straight to Sirmione. The boat is nice as you see the area from the water and also get to see the thermal waters coming from the bottom of the lake. The downside is that you only get to spend 30-35 minutes in Sirmione, which was enough time just to either get a gelato or walk around for a bit navigating around the incoming cars and the crowds.
Irene also pointed out good places to eat and have a drink or two in Verona.
So, with some minor details, the tour is very nice.
Irene and Isabella were great guides and we thoroughly enjoyed the small tour group size. Seeing the castle and views of the lake were our favourite aspects of the tour.
