To start they have clean restrooms to use before heading out on your activity. We did the ATV tour an it was excellent. You get to drive in the road, on dirt roads, back streets and the most fun through small little towns. The guides let you do your thing and are great throughout. Bring sunglasses to be able to see as there is a lot of dirt. The food and drinks after hit the spot and were wonderful. We personally drove to the ranch since we had a rental so I didn’t have many drinks but they are very generous. I would definitely recommend this place for any activity and would personally go back also. Thank you so much Ranch Capomo! Absolutely worth every penny.

Great trip! The staff was friendly and fun. The hike to the falls was substantial and involved a lot of stairs, but was worth it. Wear good shoes, and dress comfortably.

This was a great experience. Started off with a 45 min ride to the horse ranch. Driver was funny and knowledgeable. Rode horses for a long trail ride and crossed the river several times. Then we came to a stop and got off the horses. We followed a guide up a rather steep and long hike to a beautiful waterfall! This hike was not for everyone! However the waterfall made it truly worth it! After week climbed back down the way we came, it was back on the horses and back along the trail we came. Once we reached the ranch we had water & soda provided. We then jumped on 4wheelers and rode for another hour plus. After the long 4wheeler ride we came back to the ranch and had a wonderful Mexican lunch prepared for us. Lunch consisted of grilled chicken & steak, salsa, chips, guacamole, beans & rice along with some ice cold coronas! The lunch was delicious! Then Hector drove us back to PV to our drop off spot. The ride back was just as amazing. Hector was so friendly and helped us practice our Spanish. He was a true gem and made the ride back even more enjoyable.

This was a nice adventure from PVR. Found this tour after narrowing down to horseback riding and zip-lining. Shuttle service was convenient (driver Sergio had lots of jokes to share), and the 1.5mile horse-trek up to the waterfall was very beautiful in the morning light. Very authentic experience. Ziplining was up on exposed mountain (hot and dry, not a lot of shade), but got to gallup the two of us on horses up to the beginning of the zip-lines. The fajita lunch was delicious. This tour felt less corporate business than other big zip-lining (PV ADVENTURES) place. Some nice views. Good to get away from the downtown area, get into the hills and have a different adventure.

We signed up for the horseback riding and zipline experience and loved all of it. Sergio picked us up from the meeting place for a humorous ride to Rancho Capomo where we were introduced to the humble but very talented staff. We were all matched with helmets and horses (or mules!) and set off on a lovely meandering path that lead across rocky stream beds, betwixt cattle lazily munching grass, and to a hidden gorgeous waterfall. Afterwards we set off on the zipline course which crossed over the same stream and then took off on horseback to the final set of ziplines at the top of the hill (the horses ran home on their own much to our surprise and delight!). We ended up with the best meal and margarita we had during our entire trip.

Driver, guides and ranch staff were personable, friendly and helpful. The scenery and waterfall destination were picturesque. The homemade lunch was delicious and tequila tasting was an added bonus. Highly recommended excursion.

What an awesome experience. Sergio (driver and guide) was SO Funny and made us feel welcome. The staff/guides (Pablo, Esme, the gals who cooked our food and our bartender) were so nice and accommodating. The whole day horseback riding (the waterfall was beautiful) and zip lining was super fun. To top off the experience was a wonderful Mexican lunch and margarita. Such a great value and so fun. Make sure you wear bug spray and tennis shoes. Also note you need to be able to walk stairs, cross suspension bridges and do a short hike to the waterfall- so worth it! Mr. Ponce (the owner) came and said hello and was very nice and responsive when I emailed him questions about the excursion. So so FUN!

We had an amazing time at Sierra Madre Horseback Ridding and Zipline. A truly first class operation where it is evident that they place a high value on safety. The horse back riding was outstanding over a couple of beautiful streams. The zipline was amazing and very beautiful. All of the workers were extremely nice and willing to help. Lastly we enjoyed tasting their homemade tequila. This was a highlight of our trip to Puerta Vallarta and a must for those visiting the area.

This was fun overall. The ride is slow and bumpy. The horse walk was basic and through a small town with lots of garbage laying around. The ziplining was great. Beautiful river and huge valleys to fly over. It was more primitive than many others but that made it pretty cool. Wear long pants. Wear shoes. Bring a change of clothes. Lunch was very good. Bring a couple bottles of water with you.

My friends and I had a wonderful time from start to finish. Our guide (sorry I forgot his name) was early to pick us up, he even waited for the other guests who was very late and did not leave him. He was very friendly and talkative (in a good way) and he was cool. Everyone at Rancho Capomo was very welcoming. The food was delicious and authentic, as were the drinks! The zip lines were AMAZING the Only bad things was that my and my friend got stung by bees at one random zip line and these were no regular bees, but we survived and still had a great time. I would recommend this tour especially if there are not a lot of travelers. There were only 3 of us in total so it was kind of VIP!

Lots of fun. Nice, easy ride to a spectacular waterfall. Fun, long zip lines and an excellent lunch with salsa and tortilla making lessons. Everyone enjoyed the day. Great guides - ask for Pancho who was picked us up on time and had a great dialogue with my eldest son who practiced his Spanish. Would recommend!

This is our 3rd time at Rancho Capono (RC) in 5 years. It is still a wonderful and marvelous experience. The staff is so dedicated to the customers that you will definitely have a good time. We like the horses and the zip-lines, and next year will plan another trip again.

This adventure was one of the highlights of our trip. My partner and I chose to take the horseback riding, zip lining and ATVing adventure. We had the opportunity to ride horses in a smaller group (four of us plus our guide) because the cruise that we were supposed to tour with was late. This small group made the trip even better. It was more personalized and we had more freedom to ride freely. We walked through a river towards for about a half hour towards a waterfall, had an opportunity to swim, and then then walked back. The exotic plants were absolutely breathtaking. Afterwards my partner and I got the opportunity to go ziplining, just the two of us plus our guide. It was spectacular! My partner and I were a little concerned with the equipment used, but we enjoyed ourselves and were unscathed. Lastly, our guide took us on a private ATVing adventure through Las Palmas and some of the countryside. I had never ridden an ATV before this and felt very comfortable with my instruction and abilities. At the end, the food was truly fantastic. My partner and I are vegetarian and did not mention that at the beginning of the trip. When our food came out with beef and chicken, I was able to let them know right away and they fixed our food without another word. Truly excellent service and the vegetables were fantastic! Overall an absolutely fantastic trip. Some advice for future adventurers: - WEAR PANTS WHEN RIDING THE HORSES! The jungle has ticks, and my partner and another participant both got tick bites while we were riding horses. Our guide was able to remove them without any issue, but still a bit of a concern. - The horseback riding adventure is best for people with a basic understanding of horseback riding. We passed the group of people from the cruise heading towards the trail and someone had been bucked off their horse for poor riding. We watched some participants continue to yank on the reins of horses trying to get them to stop backing up (you say "Woah" or "Oh," gently pull on the reins and release once they have stopped moving). Having experience as a rider, it was excruciating to watch. -The drive from PV to Las Palmas where the ranch is takes about an hour. Bring some snacks and some water to tide you over from activities to dinner.

We spent the day at Rancho Capomo riding horses, playing with dogs, zipping around the canopy, and riding ATVs through the charming little town of Las Palmas. The excursion far exceeded our expectations- we felt like we were visiting family on their ranch. Sergio, Jose, and Alex were amazing guides, picking fresh mangoes for us to eat and making us feel at home. Book this excursion! Can't give it enough stars!

Rami, our guide was so relaxed and explained everything well. The horses were very calm and are trained well. The views are great even though we went in the dry season (May). Zip lining was fun and the meal was delicious! A day we’ll spent.
