DAY 1 - MORNING VISIT
Begin your morning, after breakfast, with a visit to TA PROM; a Buddhist monastic complex and most enjoyable temple. We will explore its narrow and secret passages, eventually reaching the famous fig tree that strangles the temple's towers.
Then continue your Angkor Archaeological Park visit with the smaller, semi-ruined jungle temple of TA NEI. Hidden away in the forest, you will have a chance to explore a temple without the tour bus crowds. End your morning at TA KEO, a temple created to symbolize the Home of the Gods.
DAY 1 - AFTERNOON VISIT
Take an afternoon visit to ANGKOR THOM; once the most populated city in the world. We will begin our visit at DEATH GATE, then walk along the top of the massive wall, bird-watching and exploring as we go. You will arrive at the highly photogenic VICTORY GATE.
We will then travel by car to PREAH VIHEA PRAMPI LVENG. At this still active, small monastery, plays an important role in the history of this area. It houses a great Buddha-King statue, hidden from the outside world for over a century.
DAY 2 - MORNING VISIT
We make a dark, early start, arriving at ANGKOR WAT in time to experience sunrise over its towers from a spot away from the crowds. As most tourists leave for breakfast, we will enter through the back door and begin to explore the galleries with bas-reliefs portraying heaven and hell, photograph the temple's reflection in the southern water pool, and visit the central structure.
You will then return to your hotel for a late breakfast and time to relax as we began so early.
DAY 2 - AFTERNOON VISIT
Conclude your day with a visit to the vast monastic complex of PREAH KHAN, which means "sacred sword". This flat temple consists of small chambers connected by galleries. You will be able to wander around and explore the numerous long and narrow passages.
