This tour exceeded expectations! Niko our guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about both history and nature. Despite being a small ruin, the Muyil site still yielded great discussion and new information about the Maya. Nice and satisfying lunch at a local restaurant. Short boat ride and lazy river was the most relaxing thing I've done in a while, especially in such a beautiful and peaceful place. We saw some local plants, birds, and even a baby crocodile! Would recommend for visitors of all ages. It was fantastic.

Absolutely loved this experience, visiting ancient Mayan ruins without the crowds and floating down an ancient Mayan canal. Alonso was a really great host, very knowledgable and considerate to our family and took us for a lovely local lunch. Thank you for a fantastic experience and sharing your love of Mayan history!

We took this tour yesterday and had a wonderful time. The ruins were interesting, especially if you have not been to any Mayan ruins. The setting was amazing. We walked through the shady jungle and saw so many different plants. We even saw HOWLER MONKEYS. The boat ride and river float was incredibly special. It is a way to really better understand the ecology of the area, enjoy truly relaxing nature with beautiful views, and just SUPER FUN! - Jose was our driver. He was super friendly and attentive. He was pretty funny too! We would love to have him as a driver for any excursion. - Maca was our guide. She was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about the ruins, plants, and general biodiversity of the region. She answered lots of questions that had come up throughout our trip, not just during the tour. She was super friendly and funny and great with kids! We had a nice lunch and a healthy snack on the tour. We wore sandals and brought towels. It was a very relaxing and beautiful activity.

Lea our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Took care of everything. Floating in the canals and the walk through the jungle to the ruins was incredible. Great tour. We went with two teen daughters and they loved it as well.

We did a private version of this tour with our guide Marco and driver Jesus. Marco was super knowledgeable of the history, flora and fauna of the sites. He was very accommodating and personal as was Jesus. They made ourbtrip even better. Was nice to see the ruins briefly. Followed with a local lunch and then an awesome boat ride to the lagoon and a casual swim on the lazy river. Totally out of this world. Water was warm and super peaceful.

Floating down the canal, in a small group of six, allowed us to feel very at one with nature and our guide, Lea, did a good job of explaining the importance of the Biosphere Reserve to the local ecology. It was all around a very fun day.

Our guide Cesar was very passionate and knowledgeable about the history and ecosystem of Sian Ka’an and the Muyil ruins. He provided a lot of new-to-us information and some dry humor. The highlights for us were the adventurous speedboat ride through the lagoons and the lazy river float in the canals. Throughout he made sure everyone on the tour was comfortable and happy. We had an excellent time!

Fantastic trip and a highlight of our holiday, in no small part thanks to Alonso who was a superb guide. He provided us all with so much insight in to Mayan history and culture and happily answered our many questions about Mexico plus accommodated our trilingual group with ease. The trip itself was interesting, informative and varied. We learned a lot visiting Muyil, which was very quiet so we got to enjoy it without having to navigate large crowds. A tasty lunch in a local restaurant followed by a trip to the biosphere, floating down the canal was the perfect end to our half day adventure. Would highly recommend!

I had an amazing time on this excursion! Highly recommend! Our tour guide Alonso was so polite, welcoming and informative. He was a super safe driver. Alonso knew 4 different languages! Which worked perfect for our tri lingual speaking group (French, English and Spanish). We stopped at Muyil ruins first, which was pretty much empty! Which was nice. Alonso taught us the history of the ruins. Then, we went across the street for lunch at Restaurante Muyil for some delicious food. After lunch, also provided a light home made dessert for us (pumpkin seed and other various seed cookies, so delicious). Then we headed to Siam Ka’an which was so beautiful! The boat ride was so nice since the weather was hot. The water was breath taking! As the boat ride goes deeper into the reserve the water becomes more and more blue! The natural lazy river is so clear and blue! There were also some fish swimming with us! The water was so nice warm. The current was pretty strong so you don’t have to swim much. Bring a water proof phone case to capture cool under water pics! Alonso joined us on the boat ride and the swim to guide us back to the boat dock. After the tour, we asked Alonso to drop us off in the Pueblo and he had no problem ! Had such a good time I would definitely do this again for the last river alone !

Fun experience! Luigi was our guide and he was great! Gave a lot of interesting information about the ruins and the lagoon. Floating down the lagoon was so relaxing! The water was so warm it was like floating in bath water. And the boat was waiting for us at the end so we didn’t have to walk back. Would recommend!

The tour was better than what we expected. Carlos and his team were amazing. Highly recommended to everyone! You going to visit the temples into the jungle, then a little lunch break and at the end you sail in the lagune and swim in the canal with crystal and clean water. 😊

Martin was fantastic!! Could not have asked for a better guide. He was so knowledgeable and ready with answers to all types of environmental and cultural questions. A fun day adventure (that was also very safe), we saw ruins, had a great lunch (with vegan options), and the natural lazy river was incredible. Martin was a great photographer and shared many pictures with us. A MUST do tour.

Sian Ka'an and the Muyil archaeological ruins are definitely a must see if you're travelling to Tulum/the Mayan Riviera. It is magical and absolutely breathtaking to see how the reconstruction of the pre-hispanic civilization is being held, as well as float on the lazy river at the lagoon and search for the water eyes from the cenotes that made this amazing ecosystem that is Sian Ka'an. Above all, the experience was made MUCH better with the uplifting energy and motivation of Alondra, our tour guide. You can see that she is passionate about what she does and her interaction with the tourists, the Mayan community from the aeea and people around her is so positive and genuine, I would definitely recommend going to this tour with her as a MUST for your visit to this area of the Yucatan Peninsula!
