Stop At: Las Teresas, C. Sta. Teresa, 2, 41004 Sevilla, Spain
The oldest bar in Seville's Jewish Quarter, open since 1870, is the perfect spot to start your tapas tour. Try two classic tapas — Spanish-style potato salad and incredible Iberian ham — paired with a traditional aperitif drink: sweet red vermouth.
Duration: 25 minutes
Stop At: Barrio Santa Cruz, Seville Spain
The first part of the historical walking tour will showcase the best of the local Moorish architecture and even includes a stop at the ruins of an ancient Roman temple.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Taberna Álvaro Peregil, C. Mateos Gago, 22, 41004 Sevilla, Spain
Grab a bite to eat inside Seville’s tiniest bar. The family that runs this spot introduced orange wine to Seville, which is now a local classic. You’ll enjoy a glass along with delicious manchego cheese and slow-roasted pork belly.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Barrio Santa Cruz, Seville Spain
The second part of the tour’s historical walk will take you to see sights such as the Cathedral to learn about their history. You’ll also be treated to a local legend involving Seville’s very own Romeo & Juliet.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Casa Morales, C. García de Vinuesa, 11, 41001 Sevilla, Spain
Step back in time as you walk into Seville’s second-oldest bar, complete with large traditional wine vats that still line the walls. Try two beautifully prepared montaditos (miniature open-faced sandwiches): one with Iberian ham, and the other with salt cod and a chilled tomato-garlic puree known as salmorejo.
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Bodeguita Antonio Romero Origen, C. Antonia Díaz, 19, 41001 Sevilla, Spain
The final stop of the night takes you to a family-run tapas bar where you’ll be treated to beautiful shared platters of regional specialties followed by a traditional dessert.
Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes

Great evening with Miranda sampling the tapas of Seville. It involved a fair amount of walking to find hidden gems within the centre which is full of more touristy places. I loved the pairing of food with the different drinks, all of which I wouldn't have tried normally but ended up loving. Just the right combo of history and culture. Great way to spend an evening. This was my first visit to Seville and Mercedes brought Seville’s tapas and taverns to life. I learnt so much about the history of the city as well as enjoying some great tapas and drinks that I would otherwise have not known about. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time with Mercedes, our Tapas guide! It was our absolute highlight of visiting Seville. You should absolutely take any of the Devour food tours, but especially one with Mercedes ❤️. Joined on a lovely rainy Spring evening by just one other couple, we had the most amazing experience walking from tapas bar to tapas bar with Mercedes guiding us. We learned SO MUCH and could never have appreciated Spanish food culture to its fullest without this experience. Mercedes took us to all locally owned, much-beloved tapas bars and filled our bellies with the most beautiful food and drinks, all the while helping us understand the role of food/tapas/drinks in the daily life of Spainiards. Mercedes helped us understand the history of Spain, the romantic and challenging history Seville has had, as well as the ongoing importance of community in Spain and in enjoying tapas with friends/neighbors. She also taught us how to spot a true old/local tapas bar from ones that are newer/catered to tourists. It was especially interesting to be enjoying this tour just days after Spain had lifted it's indoor mask mandate and hear more about how early COVID lockdown and decreased tourism had impacted Seville. It's been a tough two years on everyone, worldwide, but there was a palpitable sense of celebration within the bars. Because of Mercedes recommendations, my husband and I both developed an appreciation of Spanish vermouth (something we wouldn't have thought to enjoy much at home), dry Manzanilla sherry, and the most magical orange wine - all within the warm, lively atmospheres of some of Seville's oldest bars. We had an amazing time getting to know the other couple, visiting Spain from the UK, and swapping travel stories. Mercedes was the extroverted glue that brought our small group together and we laughed well into the evening on this 4-5 hr experience. Mercedes was a beautiful soul and it was such an honor to have her as our local, Seville-born guide. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour! I recommend strongly booking it at the beginning of your time in Spain so you can better appreciate how to enjoy tapas bars like a local. We had such a wonderfull time with our guide Mexe and we got to learn all kinds of cool facts about Sevilla and it's rich history! It felt like we were hanging out with a local and seeing the most authentic Sevilla... Mexe really showed us the hidden gems, so BIG thanks for that! Really recommend :)
