This excursion is completely misleading. We chose this over others and trying to just get a ferry ride ourselves because of the length of time on the island that was advertised. My experience is as follows: We were picked up on time. Ship was as expected. Per the itinerary it was a two hour ride to Santorini. However, we made a stop in Paros as well which added another hour on to our ride. When we finally got to Santorini we were loaded onto a bus and taken straight to Oia. The tour guide was lovely and I learned a lot about the island. Get to Oia and we are given exactly 1 hour and 15 minutes to enjoy - and get lunch because by this time it was hinging on noon. We had just enough to rush our waiter through lunch and scurry to the blue domes for a few pictures. We walked no more than 6 minutes away from our meeting location in both directions and we were the last ones on the bus. Had I not had the exact coordinates of where to get the photo with the blue domes we would never have had enough time to see anything. 30 minute drive to Thira and we were given almost 2 hours to explore. We walked to a winery and had a very nice time. Then quickly back on to the bus and down back on to the ferry. We then spent another 3 hours getting back, dropping off everyone at Paros first, and then heading back to Naxos. So for $130 per person and 12 hours later (we left at 7:30 and did not get back until 8:00) we got all of 3.5 hours in Santorini. What a joke. A completely waste of a day we could have spent on Naxos at the beaches to be herded from place to place and see barely any of Santorini. Would not recommend. If you want to see Santorini that bad, book a day or two of your trip on the actual island because this ain’t it. 2 stars because the bus guide was absolutely lovely. -1 star because the bus was not cool at all. I could hear the AC blasting but could feel absolutely nothing. New level of pain unlocked.Really just bad. First of all, there are 3 buses (Italian, English, French) and no one tells you which is which when you get off the boat. I luckily ended up in the English tour bus, but that was complete random luck. You can’t really see anything from the bus, and the tour guide has a very thick...
Really just bad. First of all, there are 3 buses (Italian, English, French) and no one tells you which is which when you get off the boat. I luckily ended up in the English tour bus, but that was complete random luck. You can’t really see anything from the bus, and the tour guide has a very thick accent and talks quite fast so it’s difficult to understand what she’s saying. Then they just drop you off in the middle of shopping plaza and let you wander for an hour or so. You only spend about 3 hours total on the island and they drop you off during peak visiting time so it’s so crowded you can’t really see or do anything!! You’re also no where near the caldera or the black sand/red sand beaches so you don’t get to see those. You can see the blue dome churches but be prepared to wait upwards of an hour for a pic! There’s a giant line for that Instagram photo!! Waited about 30 min for the photo I uploaded below. Oh and also be aware that they CHARGE you to use PUBLIC bathrooms here. And there is no bathroom on the tour bus. It is a complete waste of money imo. If I had to do it again, I would either ferry over myself OR do some sort of private catamaran cruise around the island— that way you can see the churches from below, avoid the crowds, and get to see the beaches/caldera. Might be more expensive, but at least you’re not wasting your money. This was literally a giant waste of money to me.The panoramic views from the 2 towns we visited was worth the long ferry ride and the insufferable crowds

First of all the boat trip takes 3 1/2 hours not 2 so that needs updating & it’s not the smoothest of waters so if you are prone to sea sickness take some tablets. Boat crew were very good though. Santorini itself is very overhyped and frankly not worth visiting in my opinion. It’s a very barren island and then when you get to Oia to try to get the well photographed domes picture it’s like a cattle market with hundreds of people crammed into very confined streets, all battling to get to the spot for “that photograph” , an absolute nightmare experience especially if the weather is really hot. Then off to thira where the guides only interest was getting as many of the coach party to eat at “the best restaurant in Santorini “ by which I guess she means they pay her the best commission for getting them as many customers as possible ,I may be doing her an injustice as I didn’t eat there but I’m not convinced she meant it was the best food !! Then back to the boat for another 3 1/2 hour crossing back to Naxos Overall it was a poor experience & one which we will thankfully never have to repeatFerry was fine. Dtopped in Oia to 2 buses. Ferry was fine. Dtopped in Oia to 2 buses. One English speaking on one other. Too many for English speaking so some were asked to change over. They did not count how many on our bus. Guide was terrible. Spoke very fast and hard to understand. She garbled on and on incessantly repesting herself over and over. When dropped at Oia shr ssid we would walk together up to the top. By the time we got out of the bus she had gone and left us behind. The town was so busy you were shoilder to shoulder. Not plesant at all. Once back at the bus the guide complained about 2 girls whi were a little late and when counting how many there thry hsd no idea if thry had everyone. Then to Fira. Same happened eith guide eho just buggered off with some of the busload. No directions as to how to make sure uou found neeting point. We were all back in time but bus was 15 mins late. People were very concerned they would miss the ferry. Advice..change your guide
