What to expect
For attendees in Florence, we suggest getting a train from Florence to San Miniato.
The time table is as follow:

Arrival at San Miniato 10:19
Once in San Miniato train station, call Antonio our taxi driver, this is his ph number
If call us we can reserve the taxi driver on bealfh of you. In this case Antonio the local taxi driver, will be waiting for you outside the train station and he already knows where to take you.

This was a very interesting tour. Francesca was very informative and her truffle hunting dog, Choco, did a great job finding us some black summer truffles and a white spring truffle. The lunch was fantastic. The wine, the special truffle salts, and the food were all spectacular.

We had such an amazing time with Francesca, a 4th generation truffle hunter, and Chocco her truffle-hunting dog! We really appreciated the boots that Francesca provided us with as footwear can get quite muddy during the walk in the woods. Francesca took the time to explain the elements of the truffle hunt as well the environmental conditions for truffle growing. Chocco found 3 white winter truffles during the 1.5 hour hunt, one of which was super fresh with a really strong scent. Francesca and her mom also cooked us a super delicious truffle-focused lunch with the found truffles. I'm so glad we booked this experience with Francesca! JeanineThis was a great tour! This was a great tour! The truffle hunt was a fun trek through the woods and lunch was delicious. Francesca even provided rubber boots for everyone to trek through the mud. Francesca had two truffle dogs with her on our trip and we found 3 truffles, 2 black and 1 white. We ended upgrading to a full day tour with the same company and I would highly recommend that if you have the time. Our guide was Matteo and he was outstanding...will definitely be requesting Matteo for more tours while we're here! However, if you only have time for the truffle hunt, it is still very much worth doing. Can't recommend it highly enough!A must do!!! We had an amazing experience with Francesca and her dog. The actual truffle hunt was the perfect breath of fresh air after Florence/Rome, and the lunch after with our truffles (we scored three :)) was SO good. Can’t say enough good things!!

We found two white truffles and a porcini which she used in our meal! Had a lovely luncheon prepared by Francesca and her mother. We had a wonderful time in a beautiful home. Hope to return!
