Do not pass by this trip because you think it is too expensive. I thought about the chance to see San Francisco in new ways. Adventurers live longer. Darn it this was something I really wanted to do. I absolutely had so much fun. We had high winds, iffy looking sky. But Doc got us in the right place at the right time of the day. He knows his city. I'm a seasoned photographer who hates tripods and wasn't good at night shooting. Of course you must use a tripod in low light. I definitely improved my skills. A bored 15 year old who likes cameras will jump for job. A determined older person will feel young. I will never say I can't take night pictures again.Doc is amazing! He listened to what we wanted, planned our outing, and drove us around to wonderful photo spots. We absolutely would not have gone to so many places on our own because we didn’t know about them! Doc showed us a variety of vantage points for the iconic photo shoots of San Francisco as well as showing us other locations and attractions that were not frequented by loads of tourists. Doc is an accomplished photographer, able to provide tips to improve shots and allowed us plenty of time in each location. Doc is a really great guy and we had an amazing time. My husband and son came along for the trip and were so glad that they had. Doc took us to locations that we would otherwise not have seen and knew all the best places to get amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge. I'm very much an amateur photographer and he helped me with settings on my camera when I wasn't sure, as well as helping whenever I got in a tangle with my tripod ;) We had been slightly worried about the weather as the fog was so thick in the morning but it cleared up completely, we couldn't have asked for better conditions for taking photos. Doc's knowledge of San Francisco is second to none and my husband commented afterwards that he had learnt more about the city from Doc than he had from the tour guide on our tour of the city earlier that day. He also spent more time with us than we expected. I would highly recommend this tour, it is so worth it.
