This tour takes you to the "Land of Music". Namely to the impressive Salzkammergut, lakes and mountains region. Admire the outstanding beauty of the glacial lakes and mountains for which the Salzkammergut region is famous. Since this is a hop-on, hop-off bus tour, you are able to enjoy all the sights at your own pace. With the Green Line you are travelling from Salzburg via Hof and Fuschl to the village of St. Gilgen, where Mozart's mother was born. In St. Gilgen you can change to the Red Line, which brings you via Abersee and Strobl further on to St. Wolfgang (and back to St. Gilgen). In St. Wolfgang you will find many delights including the local church with its famous winged altar from the 15th century by Michael Pacher and the Hotel White Horse Inn, which was the setting for the famous operetta "Im Weissen Rössl". Continue your journey with the Green Line and pass the picturesque Krottensee and the Castle of Hüttenstein. Then via the Scharfling pass along the shores of the Mondsee (Moon Lake), to the town of the same name once famous for its monastery and world famous as the Sound of Music Wedding Church. Return to Salzburg via Thalgau and Eugendorf along the charming Flachgau region. Audio-commentary in 13 languages is available.
