The main thing we took a tour because wanted to visit the Saklikent. First, we didn’t enjoy the water gun fight, we didn’t sign up for this and were completely wet. It is a poor idea from the tour companies to mix up people who want it and who does not. If you think to get a tour - have a raincoat with you ready to wear, they don’t ask you if you “would like to get completely wet or not”! The second thing - in the Saklikent canyon they will give you only 30 minutes (!!!) to walk and make pictures. 30! All other time will be spread for other things which I was not impressed at all. So take my advice and if you would like to go to Saklikent, just go by yourself, by bus or a car. You will have more time to enjoy it and not be wet and cold after the stupid water gun fight. Some people liked it, but not all.Our day started at 9am when we were met by our awesome driver Mustafa. Our day started at 9am when we were met by our awesome driver Mustafa. We had breakfast, visited the waterfall, then the amazing gorge ( which was so impressive to walk up), lunch sat by the stream. They we did tube rafting followed by the mud baths and the beach on the way home. You cram a lot in but I never felt rushed and I could not believe how good value it was (specially as breakfast and lunch was included - we did pay extra for tubing). Mustafa even stopped the van on the way home and bought us all some fruit. Was a really amazing day out and we got back about 6pm. What other tour could fully entertain for 9 hours!!We had a great time on this trip. The water fight with other tour buses (whilst on the move!) was great fun! We had a great time on this trip. The water fight with other tour buses (whilst on the move!) was great fun! You get soaked through at this point and remain wet so wear something you are comfortable in over your bikini and it’s probably best to have your water shoes on from the start. Also, apply sunscreen before the trip starts because you are on the go all day and usually wet so you want some protection before you set off. After the water fight, you get the opportunity to do some other activities such as zip lining (additional costs apply) and then you head off to the waterfall. It gets crowded but is an experience. Following this, you walk through the gorge and get the chance to body raft a short (ish) distance in the icy cold water. It’s painfully cold but we are so glad we did it! Then we had lunch and then those who had signed up for water rafting, got to do this. This was also so much fun and good value - I thought it would be a short distance but was happily surprised that it was such a long stretch. The restaurants we ate in were quite different to what we’re used to but it all adds to the experience. After this we stopped for the mud bath and it was at this point that I took off my wet shorts and top and wore a kaftan over my bikini. We then went on to Kapatus Beach which is where we finished our day. Water shoes and a small ish waterproof bag are invaluable on this trip. Mustafa was a great guide and made the day so much fun. We are all so glad we did it! Thank you very much Mustafa!Fantastic day, so much fun. We went as a family with our friends and had the best day of our holiday. The jeep water fight was so much fun. Fantastic day, so much fun. We went as a family with our friends and had the best day of our holiday. The jeep water fight was so much fun. The food at lunch was delicious in a pretty restaurant with hammocks and cushions, surrounded by water. We did the rafting which was great and our gorge experience was rather special thanks to Vulcan our guide. It was the day that kept on giving!A fantastic day out for our family (two adults and one 16 year old). A fantastic day out for our family (two adults and one 16 year old). The trip started well with a lovely pancake breakfast and then a water fight between safari jeeps (definitely a highlight for our teenager and refreshing as it’s so hot!). So much packed in to the day but not too much travelling and it didn’t feel rushed at all. A lovely lunch is also included so really good value for money. A few extras to pay for such as rafting and drinks but not overly expensive. Our guide (Mistafa) was great and takes photos (you just need to pay a little for them). I would definitely recommend it (if you don’t mind getting soaked!)
