We will start at two main attractions in the downtown and walk to existing French colonial architecture in Saigon, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office that sending us back to the old time of Saigon and some of interesting stories alongside of this two constructions.
The Presidential Palace (or Independence Palace or Reunification Palace) is the next place, which is a relic of the Fall of Saigon 1975. You will have a big general view of the Vietnam War, which is one of the bloodiest wars in Vietnam history and its after-maths later then.
Then, we take a 15 minutes walk to War Remnants Museum, which is shown the devastation of war, how the war was going on and how it ended and its effect 'till today like agent orange. I will be next to you to inform more about the war and my view of the war.
After that, we take a bus to Cho Lon, the local name of China Town in District 5 with Chinese temples such as Tien Hou temple, the Lady of the Sea, Mr Bon Temple and a big Chinese wholesale market. Chinese people is one of biggest ethnic communities in Vietnam and bring valid values to Vietnamese culture, so the interaction between the two countries is strong.
