200 years ago, Paris had nearly 150 covered passages ! Frozen in time since the 1800s, these glass-roofed & paved arcades were originally created for the nobles to enjoy a stroll and a little shopping, away from the sun and rain.

And of course this courtyard was the gastronomic Mecca of Paris in the 19th century. Take some time to stroll in the sumptuous gardens.

There are still some emblematic Parisian addresses to be found in the passage couverts such as the oldest chocolate factory in Paris founded in 1761!
