What to expect
The Royal Gorge of the Arkansas River is one of Colorado’s premier whitewater trips. 1, 000 foot walls will surround you as you head into the heart of the gorge and navigate challenging and exciting class IV-V rapids like Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer, and Wall Slammer just to name a few.

- Rapid classifications and minimum requirements can change depending on water levels

- Travelers should have a strong physical fitness level
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund

They canceled our trip a week before the trip was scheduled. They said you weren’t supposed to be able to book a reservation for only two people. There was nothing on their website that stated that and there was nothing on TripAdvisor about only being able to book for two people. They did offer to put us on a different trip an extra hour and a half away.Signed up solo for a half day brown’s canyon and joined just 1 other couple and our guide Adam. Signed up solo for a half day brown’s canyon and joined just 1 other couple and our guide Adam. We had such a great experience that we all decided to do royal gorge half day together the next day. Royal Gorge was my favorite! Being a smaller company, I was super happy with the personalized experience. Adam went above and beyond for us so we had the best experience the river had to offer which is not something the bigger companies are able to accommodate. Comparable prices to other companies, however, anything you need is included (rain jacket/booties/helmet/PFD/etc.) and the personal experience is incomparable! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable rafting day.
