What to expect
After picking up at your hotel in Phuket, we begin the trip with a longtail boat road out to historic and scenic Koh Panyi. This is a limestone island inhabited by fishermen most of whom live above the water on stilts. After a short walk through their village, we get to one of two crags where we start our climbing day. There is a beginner crag or if you are a more advanced climber we can follow a longer approach to a higher crag with an amazing scenic view of the island and Andaman Sea below. After climbing the morning, we will return to the village and have a hearty Thai lunch cooked on-site at the restaurant (again above the water). All transportation (car/boat), the meal and bottled water are included.

We can pickup from anywhere (airport, AirBnB, hotels, hostels, etc.) in Phuket and the surrounding area. Note: pickup from most island-based hotels is not possible.

This climbing day trip was the highlight of our stay in Phuket! Aon was a fantastic guide and had a great step-by-step approach to climbing. Everything was well organized, from pick-up to drop-off, with good and fulfilling meals throughout the day. The climbing spots in the middle of the Phang Nga national park were idyllic! This is a must-do while staying in Phuket, we highly recommend it!!Fantastic safe climbing and excellent scenery. The guides were very helpful and friendly and everything on the trip (meals, drinks etc) was included in the agreed cost. Excellent day. Great communication by email beforehand. Would highly recommendIt was a really nice experience :) I strongly recommend Gecko to everyone, from beginners to experienced climbers: if you are a beginner you can learn, have fun, enjoy rock climbing in a totally safe way; if you are experienced you can enjoy rock climbing with Aon:)

Had two perfect days of climbing with a great guide (Aon) and his team that easily handled pickups, transportation, and getting me back. Quite simply, Aon is awesome. Safety was always top priority and he works hard at every part of your experience. If you’re interested in history he’ll make a detour on the way to the crag, if into local cuisine he can make sure to point the lunch break in the right spot, and has great recommendations for other interests in the area once you head off. He cares not just about you getting to the top of a route, but your whole experience from the initial communication, to pickups, to the climb, and beyond your drop off. His English is very good, has great experience in climbing, diving, first aid, etc. and is just plain fun to be around :)Everything was absolutely fantastic. Even after a bit of a hiccup (on my part) during tye first climb. Aon never stopped being supportive,caring, and attententive through the whole day. Dont know if i could pf had a better rock climbing expiernce. Thank ypu so much aon. Also, this guy is so cool...
