The landscaped nearby Parque Lage has tree-lined trails to Corcovado Hill, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located, and the Tijuca National Park rainforest. The pilot, Melissa, gave us an amazing tour around Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer) and we had a fantastic view over wonderful Rio. The staff at Helisight were friendly and service-minded and speak english well. If the weather is too cloudy, it is no problem to move your trip to an other day.

As well as a wonderful overview of the beaches, bay, etc. The flight isn't long, but it is more than adequate to see all you want. Helicopters are relatively new and in great condition. Pilots are top notch. Ours spoke great English....

Helicopters are relatively new and in great condition. Pilots are top notch. Ours spoke great English. Room for 1 in the front bubble (be sure to ask first), and 3 in the back seat. We ended up with a private flight for 3 so all of us had window views. Back seat windows opened so you could take photos "outside" the glass. Loved this way to see the sights, avoid the crowds, and do it in "record time." No hours standing in line. No chance of Covid exposure. Highly recommend. Spend the money and do it right. FYI, you do not make a reservation but rather show up for first come first serve. That worked great because we originally thought we wanted to go late afternoon but the clouds rolled over Corcovado. Went first thing the next morning (9 am) and the sky was clear, there were no lines, etc. Easy. And we didn't pay for a flight with clouds.This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever done! Flying through the clouds right up next to the Christ the Redeemer statue. Rayana and Isabela were super helpful in lining up a tour and Rômulo was an amazing pilot who made it lots of fun!

I recommend boarding at the Urca mountain, especially if you are a solo tourist. You will need 2 more ppl to ride a helicopter, and the turnover of tourists is greater there. I was able to join the ride of 4 other ppl within an hour
