Diego was our guide. He arrived at our door early. He was very knowledgeable and laid back. The restaurant he took us to for lunch ( not included) was delicious. He went above and beyond what was listed on the tour description. We wanted to buy good chocolate so he took us to a quaint shop where we had a private chocolate tasting. It was a first great day in Quito.
Daniel was a great tour guide. For our first day, he really helped us get to know the city. The morning started off cloudy and wet. With Daniel’s advice to go to Mirada Del Mundo, Teleferico, and then to the Old City, our day turned out perfect. We had a sunshiny great time at the interactive Mirada del Mundo. Managed to beat the big gray rain clouds to Teleferico. There were some clouds, but they were kind enough to leave open windows to view Quito below. After Teleferico, Daniel took us to have a late lunch at Cafe del Fraile. A wonderful restaurant with a fantastic ambiance and good food in the Old City. With bellies full, Daniel then took us on a historic and informative tour which included stops at Independence Plaza and the Church of la Compañía de Jesús. We thoroughly enjoyed the full day tour with Daniel. All the included sites were terrific and Daniel added that extra touch to make the tour that much more special. Thank you, Daniel and Quito!
Great day tour of the city. Oscar, our guide, was really fun to be with. Informed about the city and shared a lot of stories with us. He was always aware of our whereabouts and looking out for us. Highly recommended.
This is an excellent tour! Our tour guide Diego was very fun (and funny!) and provided a really interesting and honest perspective of Ecuador. His love of the country was obvious and the history behind the country was fascinating. The entire tour was great but we found the trip to the equator and the cable car ride the most interesting and most fun. We were originally considering to just do the half day city tour of Quito but I am so glad that we decided to do the full day tour which includes the equator visit and the cable car ride as those were the highlights! Thanks again Diego for a great day!
Definitely recommend this tour! It was a solo tour for me (on the more expensive side), but on the plus side it was customized to my whim. The tour guide Oscar was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Our guide, Alex, was incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Our driver was also extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommended
Our guide Diego was excellent. He was a fountain of knowledge and really passionate about his country. We started off with a trip up the Teleferico- a cable car ride up to 4000 metres. The views were amazing. Diego gave us a great idea as to how Quito has grown and all about the local plants. Next it was off to the Mitad del Mundo. Some of the tour by the guide there was interesting but the equator line they show you is not actually correct-it is under the road outside!! In the afternoon it was off to the old town. Diego was great. In our two hour walk he explained the history of Quito explaining how the city grew and showed us a couple of beautiful Churches. It was a tour worth taking!
Great service, fun trip with good learning experience, If the trip can add the original Midad de Mundo park visit will be perfect! Overall, had good time, Thank you for Diego and Gabriel excellent service!
This tour covered some of Quito's best attractions, perfect if you don't have much time. Diego the tour guide was amazing.
The Quito city tour was fun and informative! I saw so much in one day. It was a great way to learn about the uniqueness of Quito. Oscar was knowledgeable, personable, and tireless guide!
Diego was great. Super informative and rolled with changes due to teleferique closure. Took us to great insider sites too.
Tour guide was great, and super knowledgeable.
It was a great trip to see as much of Quito as possible in a day. Eduardo was an excellent guide and Diego was a great driver. Lovewd the Pululahua National Park and the views from there. Mitad del Mundo was an interesting experience with a bit of info on the Amazon jungle, all about the equator and its effects with the northern and southern hemisphere, and finally the amazing views from top of the Teleferico. Great 1 day tour of Quito!!
Had a great tour guide - very knowledgeable. Easy way to see the highlights of the city in one day!
My tour guide Alfonso was so knowledgeable about the city of Quito. He was patience and flexible as well. Took us to a great restaurant for lunch and really gave us a great feeling about the city of Quito. I will return for sure.
This tour takes you to the Equator Museum, up the Teleferico and then on a Tour of the Old City of Quito. There were only 3 of us plus the driver and guide. Our guide, Iban, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Our driver was very professional. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you only have 1 day in Quito as I did. We were picked up at the hotel at 8:30AM and returned there at 5:00PM. The old city of Quito is lovely, the view from the Teleferico is beautiful and the Equator museum is very interesting.
Gabriel spoke excellent English and provided a thorough historical tour of Quito. From our visit to the Middle of the Earth to the depths of the city and beautiful churches and monuments, to the authentic lunch, our private group of 5 enjoyed this full day of getting to know Quito! Cindy B.
Fantastic tour and amazing way to see Quito in one full day. Highly recommend. We had a large group of 9 people and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day!
Diana P. was incredible! She knew Quito very well. We enjoyed our entire day with her, visiting Old City and Mitad. Exceptional view of Quito from teleferico peak. We had tasty Ecuadorean late lunch at L Cafe de Fraca in Old City. Diana went extra mile as our Quito guide. Thank you for memorable visit, Diana!
Highly recommended tour! We got picked up from our Airbnb at 7:30, and given the weather, we changed our schedule and visited Mitad del Mundo and a volcano near there in the morning. Daniel, our guide, had phenomenal English and explained the history of the town really well. After visiting the equator, we went to Teleferico and enjoyed the view of the city from the cable car. Lunch was pretty late 2:30pm, which was delicious but not included in the tour. We then visited the Historic Centre of town and visited some of the famous churches in Quito. If you have time in Quito outside of the tour, go to the Basilica del Voto Nacional, it's well worth your time and has phenomenal views of the city.
The tour was great. Diego, the guide was really well prepared, provided a lot of infrormation, he was reallly awesome! :
Really good experience. Bring something warm when you take the cable car. It get a bit chilly and you can feel also the change of altitude. All in all, it was a good experience. The guide, Diego, was really good, provided a lot of information on the history of the places and the culture, friendly and took good care of us. :
Frederico was a fantastic guide! I really enjoyed Teleferico and the city tour! So much fun and I learned so much!
Our guide, Danielle, did an excellent job showing us all the major sights. He made the great decision to go to Teleferico first so we got an amazing cloudless view which was closed in by the time we were heading down.
The tour was great and our tourguide Alfonso made it perfect
This tour was exactly what we were looking for. We saw so much of Quito in this one day. The guides were able to get us into places that we wouldn't have been able to on our own. Weather went from warm and sunny to breezy and rainy, so bring a jacket. We happened to be there on Viernes Santo Good Friday such an amazing day to experience Quito!
Very good. Adjusted to the weather and still did everything. Signed up for the Cloud Forest trip for the next day and it also was great. The guides knew their stuff.
another excellent tour highly recommend Viator as have used them multiple times, never let down!!!
This tour included a three part exploration of Quito highlights. Our guide, Daniel, was very personable and knowledgable regarding all aspects of Quito's history, geography, economy, and politics. His English was outstanding. Our first stop was Teleferico where we rode the cable car to exquisite views of the city. Daniel explained the vegetation at different altitudes highlighting the paper tree at the summit. We had our pictures taken with a llama dressed in native ponchos and hats. The second stop was Mitad del Mundo, the equator. This was a fascinating tour including demonstrations of the magnetic forces of north and south meeting at the center of the earth. Daniel was able to balance an egg on the head of a nail at latitude 00. There was a lovely gift shop where we purchased beautiful alpaca sweaters at bargain prices. We then drove to the Old City of Quito where we had a delicious lunch at an upscale restaurant. This was followed by a walking tour of the Old City. This tour featured the architecture and designs of Quito's grandest cathedrals. We started at the Grand Plaza and were greeted by those campaigning and advocating for political candidates outside the residence of the President. Daniel reviewed the fascinating history of the design of Iglesia de la Compañia de Jesús. The magnificence of the beauty, history, and interior of gold was staggering. This tour made for a very informative and enjoyable way to experience the highlights of the lovely city of Quito.
Very interesting tour. Both the guide and driver were excellent, we were able to get to places just ahead of the crowds. Home office was very responsive when I wanted to add additional people to my group. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. Highly recommend
