Super interesting and loads of knowledge being passed around as well as a fascinating section of Thor Heyerdahl! We literally sat and watch the video for ages!

My brother bought 2 premium tickets on the day for visiting all the attractions. We were near the end when an overzealous member of staff tried to accuse us of not having tickets when in the Polynesian section. To be able to enter that section you have to hold a card to a barrier which my brother did and as we were only issued with the one card we obviously had to do this twice. You also need to do it again to exit the attraction. Even though we showed our card that was not acceptable to him and he asked us to show a receipt as well, which initially we had trouble finding. Although, we showed it on exiting the park when my brother found it. I also voiced my discontent with their staff members attitude. The experience upset me and ruined the rest of my visit, as I was a bit shaken after that being accused of entering a part of the park without a ticket when we had purchased it. We would also have evidence of how much we paid in my brothers bank account statement and their own ticket office. The member of staff also laughably tried to imply we could have climbed over or limber danced under the barrier. 1. My brother currently has a bad back and is taking pain killers for it and i am not fit or thin enough to do such an act. The whole episode was farcical and I certainly would not ever go back there and would not recommend it to other people. I have never in my life been treated like this at any other visitor attraction, so there is no excuse for our shambolic treatment. After, I complained at the end of my visit they tried to offer me vouchers, not sure what for, but I was not interested. I just wanted to voice my discontent at my shabby treatment. I don't like being made out as if I am a cheat or a thief. The attraction was not even expensive and me and my brother can easily afford the fee.

Great trip. Very informative. Pyramids are a must see. Kids (3 and 4 years) loved looking for chickens and lizards.

It is a nice place, which includes a big botanical park with different plants (almost every plant has a reference to some historical facts and personalities). The museum is also interesting, a big part of the exhibition is devoted to the Kon-Tiki expedition, and there is a copy of the boat. There are interesting historical facts, photos, and maps of other expeditions. One can see different types of boats used in old times. In nice weather, the place is worth visiting. There is a small area for kids to play outside the museum, in the park. The cost of the ticket could be less.

Great place to visit. Very well organized and clear instructions how to walk through the white area. Nice and fresh hostess guided us how to manage the visit. Very good instructions and interesting place to visit. Come early to avoid alot of people, then you will also have a chance to park in front

Really interesting place to visit. Lots to see - the pyramides themselves, botanic garden, exhibitions over Polynesian culture & Easter Island. Poison garden. Didn't have time to see exhibition on plastic in ocean. Audiotour was excellent (and free with premium ticket so that ticket was worth the extra €2) We had 2 hours there but ran out of time to see everything Free parking outside

Brilliant, loved this. Really extensive gardens, & significant pyramids with intriguing origins. Lots of other information too. A pleasantly quiet & peaceful rural site on the slopes of Teide. You don’t have to buy a premium ticket there are lots of options.

Great place. I could not believe how much there was to see. We were time limited so plan to go back this year.

Went to Guimar with my boyfriend as we had a rental car to get around and explore the island. We had read about the pyramids in a travel book and thought it was worth a look. On arrival to Guimar, We found a large car park just down from the centre, which was free and within a few mins walking distance. At the centre the ticket office offered 3 payment options. We went for the most expensive as you had full access to all areas. This cost 18 euros each. On entering the museum, its takes you through a series of rooms, which showed pictures of pyramids around the world. Then you get taken outside where there isnt particularly much to see, there are lots of information plaques but they seem to be about random facts which have nothing to do with pyramids. The pyramids were unimpressive and my first comment was "they dont look very old". It wasnt until we returned home and received an email from a family member that we learnt it was built in the 20th century. The info on the pyramids is vague. Although it was nice to walk around the site and have a few silly pictures, i found the extra areas about Polynesian people and a garden of poison plants and flowers. Not really sure what relevance this had to the pyramids. I thinj this centre was overpriced and not really worth a visit. The town of Guimar is small but pleasant and we stopped for a pizza which only cost 7 euro.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the extent of the history of the area, plants, pyramids and Polynesia in general. After 4 hours of checking out all the exhibits both inside and outside, we were able to get a nice lunch. There is much to learn about poisonous plants, plants of the Tenerife island and why the pyramids are in Guimar. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Worth a visit. Interesting story behind these pyramids. There is a cafeteria on site but was closing when we arrived. Parking is free and near by. It took us about 90 minutes to walk the grounds and take photos, we missed the last show in the auditorium but wasn't too bothered. It's a great walk around for a little history and photos. Good for everyone including kids.

this is in the middle of a village and ok obviously because it has been built around the history is very interesting but .we visited on a day trip for a cruise ship and it was not worth the money .and once you have seen it you are a bit disappointed . here is also a garden with lots of poisonous plants and is an eye opener so that was more interesting .

The entrance fee is way too expensive for what they have to show (offer). There are much more interesting things to see on the island, and they are less expensive.

I was amazed by how much information they offer! In many places you can read the information, or if you take an audio guide you will get to know even more! We took the full package, including the Polynesian museum and the venomous plants, because of that we got the audio guide for free. And it was worth it! The pyramids themselves are interesting, and the story behind them is even more! But I loved the Polynesian museum just as much. It's very well done. To be honest, we planned to go here just for a short visit, to take a look. But it didn't go as planned because it was very interesting amd we needed more time. Anyway, very satisfied with the trip!

Highly overrated. Not worth paying to view. We found it possible to see some similar structures, around the area, from the road-sides. Seems like the semi-ambiguity of the piramides, their origin, history etc, is completely played up to encourage interest and tourist visits. Highly overpriced for what you see, especially considering the other things you can see and do on Tenerife for the same or lower price.

Polecam.
