A great way to spend a morning! Enrique was an engaging host and the food we made was delicious. Enrique did a great job answering questions and explaining the process of preparation to the group. The only downside was our market experience - he went into great detail about the history and making of tortilla and I wish that degree of detail had been given to the rest of the market tour.

Enrique’s knowledge of the food and the culture. We learned so much more than how to cook a few dishes. Everything was so well organized and professionally done. And lots of fun and good food too. An excellent experience.

We (2 couples) booked a Wednesday class at “COOKIN’ VALLARTA” ... "Wednesday - the catch of the day and Mexican style sea food. Learn to cook Mexican style sea food and fish: ceviches, fish filet, octopus tacos, shrimp aguachiles and more." We met Enrique at the market, and he chose the menu based upon the freshest seafood. He gave us interesting information on the historical background of Mexican food, tips on how to choose fresh seafood, shared his cooking expertise and a huge file of recipes … which included those we had made, as well as those he might make in other classes. A real treasure. The food was SO delicious! Would highly recommend Enrique’s classes.

We had a wonderful time! The market tour was interesting and informative with a little history lesson to boot. Our chef was gracious and his home is beautiful! The food was delicious! Highly recommend!

Super experience with chef Enrique. The tour of the market, picking up our fresh ingredients was very nice and Enrique had a lot of insights on how to select produce and seafood. Beautiful home, everyone cooking with chef Enrique, his lovely wife and 2 assistants. My kids (9 and 11 years old) enjoyed making salsa and fresh tortillas. Delicious feast afterwards.

The market tour and cooking in chef’s home, then eating the meal. Chef Enrique is very knowledgeable about the history and the ingredients of Mexican cuisine.

We had a great day learning about the local market and making some amazing tasting and smelling foods. Very friendly environment and chef makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for all, our group had two couples and a family with two boys and we all had a great time.

Enrique was amazing!! We met in the market and he showed us around and talked about the diets in the old days being based on 5 things: corn, beans, chilis (peppers), tomatoes and squash. Explained how to choose and what to look for. We then went in a van to his home where we cooked an incredible meal. HIGHLY recommend!!

This was my 2nd class with Cookin' Vallarta. Very informational, delicious and fun. Chef Enrique is an excellent teacher and host. Highly recommend.

Enrique was an excellent host - we learned a lot about Mexican cooking and culture and the food was delicious. I did this cooking class with my adult (20 something) kids, and we all had a great time!

It was a relaxing day spent away from all the hustle and bustle of a typical vacation. Getting to meet Chef at the smaller market was an added bonus because participants experienced the smells and sounds of a working environment. After the shopping was done our small group was transported to Chef's home where we were met by his wife and two friendly ladies. It immediately felt welcoming and homey. The food we made was delicious - learned a few things along the way as well! If you are looking for a personal food experience don't hesitate to book this one!

Fabulous experience! It was so much fun learning about the best produce and how to select it in the marketplace time. The culture really comes to life in this part. Then off to our guide's lovely and spotlessly clean house to cook. the small group (8) made it even better. We made tacos, tamales, and Chile rellanos. Delicious and fun! The fresh fruit drinks were superb. Highly recommend this tour.

My mom and I really enjoyed the class and would definitely do it again. I was really impressed by how many recipes we learned and how delicious the food was. I'm not much of a cook but the class was done in such a way that it was fun and not intimidating. I have a new appreciation of everything that goes into a Mole! Everyone was wonderful and provided a fantastic experience.

Everything about this day was amazing. Mom my hasn't stop talking about the great day. Great tour and experience. From shopping in the market, watching tortillas being made, buying our fish and shrimp to cooking the meal. I learned to much about cooking a the food. Very personal and fun. Small group: we had 8. Yummy yummy and you receive the recipes too!! Highly recommend.

Been coming to Cabo for 25 years and we are always looking for something new to experience. This was amazing from start to finish. The owner loves what he does and excited to share the flavors of Mexico with you. Food was amazing and it was all hands on from the shopping to the dicing and grinding of fresh spices. Highly recommend this company and family. Everyone in our party had a great time. There were many repeat customers.

My 7th attendance of this cooking class in the past 10 years, and I will go again. Wonderful experience, I again left enriched with yet more knowledge on produce selection and use, along with prep skills. Chef Enrique's willingness to wander off the beaten path has assured that his menus and recipes are new and exciting, with no repetition of the typical staple foods. Thanks again my friend, it was a great experience.

Four close girlfriends from childhood embarked on a PV adventure in Feb 2024. This experience was one of the highlights of our trip! Chef, along with su Jefa and su equipo, created a bespoke and delicious cooking experience. We really enjoyed ourselves. You won't be disappointed!
