Best tour I've been on in years. First, the level of service was outstanding. They tailored our tour to make sure we did what we wanted to do, see what we wanted to see, etc. They were very flexible. Doug and Debbie were on top of everything including lunch. The lunches were excellent. I thought it might be some routine bag lunch, but it was really good and a lot to eat! Doug took us out at 5:30AM to catch the wildlife and was at the meeting location early armed with coffee, snacks and scopes. He was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and always set equipment up and took equipment down everytime we stopped to catch a glimpse of any wildlife. Anyway, prior to starting, Doug already had knowledge of where to go (a kill site from the day before ). Soon we found ourselves close up and personal in the middle of a herd of buffalo - I literally said "was I the only one who just felt a little fear?" after one buffalo gave us the stink eye as he walked past. They were all around us and at times close enough to touch (we didn't). In fact we witnessed a buffalo funeral as many buffalo would circle the kill site from the day before in silence to pay respect before moving on. We saw a black wolf, black bear, osprey, pronghorn, elk, big horn sheep and the grand prize was a grizzly bear. The Lamar valley was like the Serengeti and full of buffalo and wildlife. It seemed every place Doug took us we spotted wildlife. To put this in perspective the day before we drove ourselves through Yellowstone and saw only Elk at Mammoth Springs, otherwise nothing. I'm not sure we would have been able to have the same incredible experience without having Doug and Yellowstone Dreamin! Thanks again to Debbie and Doug and I will always recommend them to anyone going forward! This was the most fantastic tour of Yellowstone. This was the most fantastic tour of Yellowstone. Our guide, Ron, knew all of the most beautiful places in the Park and timed our arrival at Old Faithful to see the spectacular show. At the end of the day we wanted more and asked Ron if he was available the next day to specifically look for animals. He did not disappoint! He picked us up at the hotel early and, in addition to bison and elk, we saw wolves on a kill, mountain sheep, five bears, prong horns, mule deer, osprey, and much more. There is no way we could have experienced the Park like this on our own. Thank you Ron for your knowledge, your patience in answering all our questions, and for the wonderful memories we brought home!We had a fabulous time on our tour. Josh was a lovely tour guide. We had a fabulous time on our tour. Josh was a lovely tour guide. He was knowledgeable and passionate about both Yellowstone and the wildlife. We had a great opportunity to see the wolves in Lamar Valley and also enjoyed close up views of the bison and pronghorn. We would have never seen the wolves without Josh’s expertise so that alone made the trip worth it! We also learned some great insight on the history of Yellowstone, how to spot animals and enjoyed our hike around Trout Lake. Highly recommend!Great way to start our Montana/Wyoming/Idaho vacation! Great way to start our Montana/Wyoming/Idaho vacation! Having never been to this part of the country nor Yellowstone National Park, our group decided the best way to start our vacation was with a tour. However, our group (4 of us) did not want to be crammed on a tour bus or van for the day with other people. Once I found Yellowstone Dreamin Adventures on TripAdvisor, it was a no brainer to book with them because they offered a "private" tour for just our group and the prices were better than other tour companies I was looking at. Their prices are very reasonable in my opinion. J.R. was our tour guide and meet us promptly at 7:00 a.m., complete with coffee, muffins, bear spray and binoculars for all 4 of us. He was super friendly and a pleasure to spend our day with. He was knowledgeable of the area and the history of Yellowstone National Park. He took us throughout the upper and lower loops of the park, stopped to look for wildlife whenever we asked him too, even did a few u-turns for us when we swear we saw bears in the woods. He stopped at several springs for us, Roaring Mountain, the Fountain Paint Pots, Firehole Falls, Old Faithful (and even waited so that we could see Old Faithful erupt), Yellowstone Lake, Grand Prismatic Spring, Midway Geyer Basin, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and several other points of interest in the park (but I can't remember the names). We saw a moose, hundreds of bison, lots of baby bison, elk, a baby elk, pronghorn, lots of birds, bald eagles, and a grizzly bear to top off our day! JR is an avid photographer and took a lot of fantastic pictures that our cell phone cameras could not hever gotten. He even shared all his photos with us after we finished the tour! Lunch was hand-made, fantastic and so much food. We had our choice of several different sandwiches, so no surprise lunch and not getting something you didn't like. Thank you Debbie!! It was really a fantastic day, a great way to start our 10 day vacation and get the lay of the land so we could venture out on our own the rest of the week. When our group saw busloads of people and other vans passing by, we were so happy we had a private tour! Book with Yellowstone Dreamin Adventures - you will not be disappointed! From the start at 5:30 am in our hotel lobby, the day was fantastic! From the start at 5:30 am in our hotel lobby, the day was fantastic! Ron knew exactly where we needed to be to see wolves at sunrise feeding on a recent kill followed by black bears and grizzly bears along with bison and even mountain goats, ospreys and elk all before 9:30 am! Ron had coffee and snacks along with binoculars for all of us so no waiting to see what everyone else was looking for. He was able to park and find animals that we had no idea were even in the area too! Ron was full of knowledge not only about the animals but also the area which was greatly appreciated. We had such a fabulous first day we contacted Debbie mid tour and asked to book a second day and of course requested Ron for day two. Our teenage daughter enjoyed the trip as much as we did as she was the one who requested the second day before we had even thought about it. Having someone drive in an area that you are not familiar with as well as knowledge of where animals can be found saved us so much time and frustration! We highly recommend doing this tour as well as the lower loop tour over two days. It will save you time and frustration as well as making the most of your time In the park as you can focus on living a dream instead of a nightmare with traffic and parking. The staff makes sure you see what YOU want to see, not what they want you to see. Lunch both days was outstanding too! You tell them your goals for the tour and they will do their very best to make it happen. Well done guys! Thanks for such a fabulous time and we can’t wait to see you in the winter!JR was a great guide and provided us with many insights of the park. JR was a great guide and provided us with many insights of the park. He also made our two day trips to the park very efficient and memorable. We were able to see all of the sights and get the the historical background of the park, geological phenomenons and wildlife. Sine the North entrance was closed to individuals, the Yellowstone Dreamin Adventures was definitely the way to go if you are staying in the Gardiner area.
