Very pleased with this private tour. Instead of being part of a large group - where you are limited in your schedule; this tour allows so much since there is only your group going from one activity to the next. We started early - which we wanted - my husband and I wanted to "beat" the traffic and crowds. We were picked up at our hotel in Playa del Carmen at 5:30 a.m. in a very nice van with a friendly, professional, courteous driver. He drove us to Tulum where we met Richard and Adriana. We purchased a coffee in the convenience store and headed off to Coba with Adriana. She is the best tour guide! She quickly got to know us and explained a brief history on the Mayans and the Yucatan Peninsula. We arrived in Tulum around 7:30 a.m. - again beating the traffic. We walked around in the quaint little town - very pretty lake in the middle. We were at the gates ready to enter Coba when it opened at 8:00 a.m. For the first 45 minutes we didn't see anyone else! How cool to climb up the temple ruins and be on top all by yourself! We toured several areas within the park; with Adriana explaining the history - she is so full of knowledge has been doing this for years. We then left Coba and headed to the cenote. Something very unique and fun - have to do at least once! After swimming there... getting ready to leave - here come the vans - we are still ahead of the game. Next is lunch (about 11:00 a.m.) in Coba - very good buffet. Again, no lines yet... they were ready for us, but we are ahead of all the bus tours we see headed into town... and the Coba Park lot is full at this point of cars, vans and buses. After lunch and some souvenir shopping we headed to Tulum... stopping on the way at a Honey Store (again she asked us if we were interested in tasting/seeing the store - completely optional).... arrived at Tulum and out on the boat to venture over and see Tulum Mayan Ruins from the boat and then time snorkeling. Adriana was with us the entire time... we swam with stingrays and Sea Turtles! A Mom Sea Turtle with two babies swimming behind her - we were right there! ... also saw many varieties of beautiful fish. After that adventure we were back to the beach front; where we spent 30 - 45 minutes walking the shoreline before being driven back to our hotel. Never rushed, driver always waiting for us at each stop; a great day! We booked directly with Richard via his website and I will say the cost was less than booking through trip advisor. Richard was always prompt in communicating directly with us via e-mail when we had any questions.First day of my vacation and I’m not sure how I will top it! First day of my vacation and I’m not sure how I will top it! At 9pm I connected with Richard online and was able to book very last minute tour for the next day. I was picked up promptly at the pick up time in a very nice air conditioned van and everything from there got better and better. I never felt like I was on a tour but more like I was with friends who wanted to show me everything they loved about where they lived. Richard and Adrianna are so personable and knowledgeable. It was the perfect start to my trip. Gracias amigos! Hope to see you again! KarliI can’t agree more with all of the previous reviews, these guys are awesome! I can’t agree more with all of the previous reviews, these guys are awesome! We booked this based on other trip advisor reviews and because we wanted something a little more personal than the tours offered through the hotels/travel reps, we learnt so much about the Mayan history while at the temple and because we were there early there was hardly a soul about, we had the Cenote to ourselves and were taken to a lovely restaurant for lunch. In fact we had such a good time that we’ve booked again for next week..... I mean what’s not to like, we learnt stuff, did enough exercise that we could fill up on tacos and then had a few hours of just chilling and chatting to some genuinely lovely people. Love, love, love these guys and what they offer.I have 4 teens, all with different personalities, and each one said this was the best part of our vacation- and I agree! I have 4 teens, all with different personalities, and each one said this was the best part of our vacation- and I agree! I've traveled quite a bit all over the world, and found this tour to be terrific. Richard and Adriana are very warm and personable, putting everyone at ease right away. The tour itself is very well timed, and we were alone at each destination, which made a huge difference. It was so much more enjoyable that way. That said, we never felt rushed, and were able to say when we were ready to leave each stop. We had visited Chichen Itza and 2 cenotes the day before on our own, and it paled in comparison to this tour! Our guides were able to explain so much about our surroundings, it made the day so memorable, and I was able to sit back and relax and have fun with the kids, and let the guides make all the arrangements and drive. It is evident that they love what they do and passed on the deep appreciation for the area and culture to us! This tour had something for everyone- beautiful bike ride, exploring ancient ruins up close, cooling off in a beautiful cenote, enjoying a delicious lunch and swimming with turtles, stingrays and fish. I highly recommend for all ages! Our group of two moms and 6 teens had a great day with Richard and Adrianna. Our group of two moms and 6 teens had a great day with Richard and Adrianna. They were friendly, knowlegeable, flexible, and literally thought of every detail including refreshments at the end of the day and providing photos. We also had rental cars and did some touring on our own but having transport and guides was so much better. Our tour had lots of different activities which kept all the kids interested—biking, jumping from 20-30' platforms into cool cenotes, snorkeling. Adianna's homemade chocolate cake after snorkeling was also a big hit! Great tour, great guides, great day!We have four kids from 7 to 18 and they all loved the tour! Richard and Adriana are phenomenal and have put together a tour you'll remember. The highlight of our week-long stay!
