Amazing city tour ! Four hours and never fed up ! Special thanks to our guide Leo, he was incredibly kind and interesting !

We were a small group (9) and we walked through a number of different Athens neighbourhoods with our guide. In each place, we looked at the architecture and street life of the neighbourhood. Our guide Antigoni was very well-informed and thorough. She described the history of the area and how it developed in the context of recent (not ancient) Athens history. She did not rush, and she answered all our questions carefully. I learned a lot about social and political change in Greece, and visiting the neighbourhoods of this rich and fascinating city is every bit as interesting and exciting as visiting older more touristic areas and the ruins. I strongly recommend this tour for those who are visiting Greece forty the first time, as well as for those whose experiences to date are limited to the Acropolis and other well-known tourist sites. Andreas walked us through different parts of Athens that we would have never gotten to on our own, and enriched us with his deep knowledge of the city, its ancient and recent history, architecture and society. He also patiently and knowledgeably responded to our many questions. And his English is excellent and easy to follow :)

We had a 4 and a half walking tour with Leo. it was a wonderful experience that gave us a unique point of view on the most typical neighborhood of central Athens. Leo knows more than anybody to depict past an actual life of vey different areas, but so close to each other. We would definitely recommend,

We saw places we would never have known existed and their significance in the historical political, and cultural development of the modern city, our guide was charming and informed. helped us find whatever we needed including a secluded place to take refreshments, and a real insight into Athens life

This was an amazing tour, which provided great insight to the historical nature of the city blended in with more recent times. Our guide, Josephine, was attentive and knowledgeable, who took care to provide an inclusive dialogue with everyone on the tour. This was money really well spent.

We took the Private Walk - Greek Mythological Tour with Danae of Alternative Athens. It was a truly amazing experience. Danae picked us up at our hotel and we began our tour back in time. We started at Zues’ Temple, worked our way over to the Acropolis and ended in the Ancient Agora. Obviously over 2500 years of history and architecture is inspiring and pure beauty but Danae made it truly memorable. She was extremely knowledgeable, personable and fun. She had great stories and pointed out things most would miss. Highly recommended and ask for Danae - well worth it. Ps were comfy shoes because it’s a lot of walking over uneven surfaces.

We where lead thru the myths and ledge day of Athens. Walking the areas of the beginnings the gods and demigods and the creation of man and Ancient Greece. The tour guide was excellent in telling the stories and showing how it tied in with the remains of the ruins thrust the tour. Recommend to all to give it a go.

We did the Alternative Athens tour with Tania and she was nice, polite and a very good ambassador of her hometown and country. With her, we had the chance to learn a lot not only about the history and evolution of the city, but also about Greek traditions around Christmas celebrations. At the end of our tour, she even gave us additional and very useful tips that we are not at all regretful for having taken into account in our stay in Athens.

Our guide Laura showed us the best places where you can find traditional Greek food. At every stop she told us about the history of the food and let us taste a lot! Everyting we ate was delicious! Laura was kind, patient and spontaneous. Thank you for the lovely tour!

Nous avons programmé ce tour pour notre 1ère journée à Athènes dans le but de se repérer dans la ville et de la découvrir en toute sa composition très variée. Notre guide Harris a été super : début de la découverte sur la place principale pour ensuite se diriger quartier par quartier dans Athènes en nous racontant à chaque fois l'ambiance du quartier, l'histoire du quartier, la vie du quartier, les + et les -, une fois au coeur de vrai Athènes. Une pause café permet de se reposer, d'échanger. Guide très sympathique et très cultivé. Je recommande ++ cette visite avec Harris.
