What to expect

ITINERARY

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and we will start the tour by visiting Asakusa, the most traditional and must-see district. Here we will stop by Sensoji temple, the oldest and most important temple of Tokyo. Also in Asakusa we will visit Nakamise street, one of the oldest commercial streets of the city that is full of little shops that sell traditional handicrafts, perfect for a souvenir!

After visiting Asakusa, we will take the subway and travel forward many centuries into the future to arrive to Shinjuku, the most modern part of the city. You will be able to feel the hustle and bustle of Tokyo during the way, making an unforgettable memory of the city! Once in Shinjuku we will visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and go up to the 45th floor to enjoy the incredible city sights at 240 meters high. From there we will be able to see the Tokyo Tower, the SkyTree Tower, the giant park surrounding the Meiji Shrine and, if there is nice weather, even the Fuji Mountain.

After this breathtaking sight, we will take the Yamanote Train line and arrive to Harajuku, where we will visit the famous Shintoist shrine, Meiji Shrine, which was built to commemorate the Japanese emperor who passed away on 1912. This shrine was destroyed in 1945 by the American forces and was rebuilt in 1946. It is also surrounded by a huge park, famous for its peace and quiet.

This tour ends in Harakuju station, which is very close to two of the most important districts in Tokyo: Omotesando and Shibuya.

FULL DAY TOUR

If you wish for the tour to last the whole day, we will stop to eat at a traditional Japanese restaurant and during the afternoon we will visit Akihabara (the most technological and otaku-ish district of the city) or Odaiba (the most modern district in Tokyo, built on an artificial island and a key spot for the 2020 Olympic games). If you want to select this option, please choose the 09:00 starting time and the 8-hour duration tour. We cannot start this tour at 13:00 with the 8-hour tour.
