Spend the extra money, if you can. Its well worth it.

Hands down BEST activity we did in our entire two week trip to Hawaii. We did the 60 minute off door helicopter tour. Their prices per seat beat any other company I reached out to, AND they did not have any weight contingencies for the price point. In fact, we were given a helicopter to ourselves at the same price point, so it somehow became a private tour - you won't find a better deal or quality on the island. The views of the Nepali coast and entire west side of the island were extraordinary. We felt safe without doors on, and it made us feel all the more connected to the beautiful landscape below. The staff was extremely pleasant and helped me feel safe despite my fear of heights and this being my first trip in a small plane. Guy, our pilot, was an excellent narrator. He had a lot of informative about the geological formation of the island which we really enjoyed. He had heard there were some whales about and took us out to circle around a pod which was in unexpected bonus. Overall a great adventure we would recommend.
