Golden Waterfall is near Yin-Yang Sea in the Jinguashi Gold Ecological Park region. Its red-like color background of Golden Waterfall comes from the sulfurous soil and it contains a high level of toxic. Along the way to Golden Waterfall, you may find the abandoned factories of the gold mining before.

Jiufen is a unique immigrant isolated village in the mountains in Qing dynasty. When Taiwan was under Japanese rule, there was a gold rush in Jiufen. This place is also famous for taro ball, fish ball, and rice cake. If tourists are tired after walking so long, you can rest in the tea house to taste the delicacies of Jiufen. Jiufen becomes famous after Hou Hsiao-hsien's A City of Sadness movie which narrates a Taiwanese story in Jiufen.

Taipei is so full of wonders !!! To see the railway built along the street venders is something I have never explore before. The ice cream roll with peanut powder is soooo delicious! Taiwanese are so creative about food.

The view in Jiufeng is so amazing! We took a lot of beautiful picture of the mountain and the sea. Our guide was very friendly and informative.He told us the history of the town and recommended a lot of street foods. Would love to book some other tour again!

Although we can understand a little bit Chinese we still decided to book a Taiwan tour package from a travel agency. This package included our airport pick-ups、daily schedule、an English tour guide and a car driver to Jiufen and Taipei together which we thought we could learn something about Taiwa...

We went to Pingxi in the afternoon, a small mountain town near Jiufen. Pingxi was a town which raises because of the coal mine and railway. We walked down the railway and took many cute and funny pictures. Of course, we took the family photo with my son. Finished one of our goal on this trip!

We bought souvenirs for our families in the U.S. in some cute stores on Jiufen’s old street. There were several lanes from the old street to different directions, we all loved those vintage houses and localized food.
