Located 6km to the north of the ruins of Ephesus, a church was built from the 6C AD to the top of the foundations of a house from 1C AD and it is declared by the church to be the final house where Mary spent her last days. Also, it is believed that the Assumption took place there in the 15th of August

An AMAZING tour with Mr. EMRE! We booked our tour with the Altinkum agency at the last minute. Since our initial tour was suddenly canceled by another agency, we urgently looked for another one. Altinkum promptly replied to our WhatsApp message and we booked a private tour. The tour included pick up transportation from the hotel and drop off at Izmir airport. The next day at the set time, the driver arrived. He was very polite and professional. At 1 pm, as we agreed, we met our tour guide Mr. EMRE! He is a professional tour guide with perfect English, historical knowledge, a warm sense of humor, and very polite. It is a lot to say, but in one phrase the tour was AMAZING! We used this company to visit Ephesus when on a stop over with our cruise. The whole experience from start to finish was second to non. Our tour guide was Emre and his knowledge of the tour was outstanding not to mention his English language. The transport was comfortable, safe and actually great fun catering for every need. The excursion itself was extremely interesting and relaxing but above all we were able to create our own itinerary of the day ahead! I cannot recommend this tour company more... Very happy family!
