A very interesting and instructive tour of some of Cologne's street art. The tour was well planned and adapted to our modest skills on a tandem, Peter was a knowledgeable, cheerful and encouraging guide.

Discovering Cologne with Colonia Aktiv was perfect. The staff was really doing their job at 200%, helping to choose the bike, offering equipment (gloves, headset and more), helped to setup the bike... The visit was covering a lot of different aspect of the city's history: about art, science, politics and economy. I had a really good idea of how the city's identity after this short tour (3hours). The tour is adapted to bike beginners and the tour guide is really caring of the group. Talking about him, he really made a lot of effort to make it interactive, asking questions relative to visitors country of origins for example. Last, the location to start and end the tour is perfect since it is very close to the center, so once you leave, you are minutes from the dome, allowing you to spend more time there easily.I guess our expectations were ether high or Cologne just did not take our interests. I guess our expectations were ether high or Cologne just did not take our interests. The tour was fine and did a good overview of the history and current "vibe" of Cologne. The guide was certainly knowledgeable and prepared. It just seemed we went a long way for "meh", excluding the Cologne Cathedral. We found that after the tour we only had taken a handful of pictures, and almost all of them were of the cathedral. Perhaps my review is more of Cologne than it is of Colonia Aktive tours. Our tour did not include time to go into the cathedral or any other venue. However, once we noted to our guide this would be our only opportunity to enter the Cathedral, she made time for us to spend 15 minutes inside. I will say, they do need to work on their online shopping cart provider. I am in IT and there was just no good reason for it to be so bad. We never could get it to charge our card and had to arrange paypal instead of a simple online purchase. We just finished a private tour (4 of us) with Peter and we could not be more satisfied. We just finished a private tour (4 of us) with Peter and we could not be more satisfied. The bikes were in excellent condition and totally ready on our arrival. The support staff were friendly and efficient. But… it was Peters knowledge, rapport and pace that really put the whole event “over the top”. He was well versed in his subject and surprised us with a lot of very interesting history. We had a couple intermediate bikers in our group and he was therefore careful and cautious in his pace so they felt safe. We’ve done bike tours in several major cities. This tour is unquestionably in the very top tier. Thank you to Peter and teamWe were on a river cruise that stopped in Cologne. We were on a river cruise that stopped in Cologne. We wanted to do some biking during our trip as did a few of our fellow cruisers. Peter was our guide for the afternoon. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us around the city and provided a little history, culture and great navigation. It was a beautiful day and a bit crowded in some areas but we but we got through. Finished the ride with some cold Kolsch beer and conversation. I would definitely recommend Peter and his bike tours. Bikes were nice and easy to ride!Die Fahrrad-Tour durch Köln ist eine tolle Möglichkeit die Stadt und ihre Sehenswürdigkeiten kennenzulernen.
