Unser Guide, Joel, chauffierte uns kompetent und unterhaltsam an die schönen Orte, die allerdings auch von anderen Touristen frequentiert wurden. Joel gelang es dabei gut, uns an Warteschlangen vorbeizuführen.
Joel who spoke excellent English designed a great alternative tour when it became obvious that my wife and I were not comfortable with the crowds we encountered. I had originally designed a tour with two stops at some distance apart. Our first venue was quiet and peaceful, a delight for us. Due to a national holiday, the second venue was very congested. Joel had warned us that it would be, but I did not want to hear the message. When it became apparent that Joel was correct, I asked for a recommendation that would be more to our liking. He, on the spot, arranged a great venue including food (lunch overlooking the beach) that be came the highlight of our tour. When we have the opportunity to get back to Lisbon, we will use him again.
