We were picked up from our hotel by the guide and the driver; the museum entry experience was incredibly pleasant. We saw so many wonderful things followed by stories and explanations by the guide. My mom who was on a wheelchair had no problems following the guide and exploring the museum. Loved the experience and would totally recommend it!

Put simply, one of the best private tours we have ever been on in Europe. Our private tour guide Marta was amazing and she created the perfect atmosphere for our family. Before we entered each section of the Vatican - we received a digital slide show via iPad outlining key things to look for (and associated background). We didn’t have to wait in any lines, and as soon as we were done with our incredible our van pulled up at the end of St Peter’s Square to drive us back to our hotel. Our guide was well informed but we were not told before hand that we would have to find our own way back to our hotel. We are 4 women in our 70’s and it was difficult because of the taxi strike. We should have been informed at time of booking as this was a very expensive booking.

Our tour guide, Simon was exceptional. He was on time to meet us, and was very pleasant and engaging. He is very knowledgeable on all aspects of Vatican history. He made sure to answer any questions we had and we were very happy with his guidance. I highly recommend all visitors to the Vatican meet with Simon as their tour guide. He was great and I hope to have him again as our Vatican tour guide!

When we arrived at the meeting spot we were placed in the wrong group by a tour operator. When the tour company realized they put us in the wrong group they told us they could no longer attend the tour because our group had already left. Someone from the tour company told us they were going to tell the company that we deserved a refund because it was not our fault that we were placed in the wrong group, they told us several times that it was their fault and apologized multiple times. I never heard anything from Viator so I reached out and they said no refund would be offered. What a way to start your vacation in Italy.

This tour is expensive however our guide Simone made it worth the money. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. He happily answered any questions we had. He even gave us an excellent recommendation for gelato.😁 It goes without saying but the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica are fabulous works of art. There is so much history and beauty. This tour was a definite winner. Simone, thank you!

Our tour guide was very good with knowledge! we did not get to go in the church because it was closed and I think we should have been told that ahead of time! Also it was supposed to be three and half hours and we finished hour early because of church being closed. For the money we should be reimbursed for that hour!! We also felt really rushed as he wanted to get to Chapel fast to beat the groups.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. She shared a lot of information and made time for questions. She had an upbeat attitude and was humorous; gave us appropriate time in the gift shop and rest stops. We would highly recommend her and the tour; we learned so much more than a previous trip a few years ago and felt unrushed.
