A really great day out,
The drive was not as bad as we thought managed to get some sleep in the morning
Pyramids and Museum was amazing as expected.
We travelled on a Friday which meant there was very little traffic in Cairo and we got more time there. would recommend
Our guide Madi was good, and spoke good English,
We felt a bit rushed through the museum though, and he was not very flexible with regard to our needs/interests.
However, the Pyramids visit was more relaxed and Madi was really great to show us some excellent photo locations.
The lunch was excellent, really tasty, traditional food. The staff at the lunch stop were really great and made the whole lunch experience fun and relaxing.
We stopped at a perfumery was good that Madi asked if we wanted too. The people there were really helpful and entertaining and good value products.
One thing to note is that we all got bitten on our ankles at the Mosque, so would advise to stay away from the carpets.
We were absolutely grateful to the drivers who put in an awful lot of hours.
Overall would definitely recommend doing it, our worry was that it would be such a long journey from Hurghada that we would be so shattered, but actually did not feel like that at all.
