Stop At: Paleokastritsa Beach, Paleokastritsa Greece
Palaeokastritsa is probably the most recognizable area of Corfu, offering unique beaches, turqoise waters and a spectacular view. Palaeokastritsa has many restaurants, bars and shops. “TO DO LIST” a boat trip to the caves (optional). Paleokastritsa is arguably the most famous picturesque villages of the island of Corfu, located 25 km northwest of Corfu Town. The word Paleokastritsa literally means old little castle, named after Angelokastro, a Byzantine castle that stands on a hill over the village. This cosmopolitan resort stretches along a coastal road around stunning bays and a picturesque harbor where the excursion boats depart for the nearby, isolated beaches. At the end of the road, right after the main harbor, is the Monastery of the Virgin Mary that overlooks the village. The monastery hosts an interesting collection of post-Byzantine icons, books and other objects. There, you will discover precious icons from the 15th century.

Glyfada sandy beach is one of the most popular beaches on Corfu island. The beach has shallow waters, has been awarded the Blue Flag, it's fully equipped and there is also the opportunity for water sports. It's a stunning sandy beach with several bars, tavernas and restaurants.

Great time! Wanted to do a group excursion for 11 when our cruise docked in Corfu and we all highly recommend. This sprinter van was beautiful and comfortably sat 11. Since the waves were very choppy, we were given various options instead of the 2 beaches, so we saw a monastery, did a drive by past Paleokastritsa, a very tasty olive oil museum (which we all bought sometime at), Glyfada beach and then was dropped off downtown. 10/10 would recommend!Driver Connie was very nice. English was at times challenging, he was not a tour guide, just a driver. Took us to few places we wanted to see. Being my first time here, I would recommend a guide.

Being my first time here, I would recommend a guide.Our driver met us promptly outside our cruise ship, took us to two different beaches, and was even flexible when some people wanted to be dropped off in town, while others returned to the ship. Overall, we received exactly what we had asked for.

This tour was relaxing and enjoyable. We werr on a cruise and didn't have much time, so we opted to spend all our time at Paleokastritsa, instead of spending the time driving to another location. There are two beaches, on opposite sides of tbe road. We spent time at the one that offered beach chairs, as the beach itself is not sandy. The driver took me to the Monastery (and waited) while the others in my group spent time at the beach. The Monastery is beautiful, and I recommend taking some time to view its grounds.We were picked up and stopped off right from the cruise port. Our driver Jon (not sure of the spelling) was waiting for us and very kind to give us insight about the island during our time in the car. He took photos of our family and modified the time at each stop to suit our needs. Our family...
