We recently took a 16-day trip throughout Europe and one of our more memorable days was the time we spent with Zoltan Horvath. He was FANTASTIC! Zoltan gave us a private CUSTOM TOUR of Budapest. We have used private tours before and find them much more informative and personable; and this was definitely our experience with Zoltan. From the first stop (the Market), to the Underground, McDonalds, the Parliament, the Church, the Pest side with river views and the Bakery; he was outstanding. His knowledge and his Hungarian heritage brought a unique experience to our visit. We look forward to booking Zoltan on our next trip. This was an amazing experience. Our tour director was very knowledgeable. He drove us around for 4 hours. We stopped at beautiful places and had time to explore. Would definitely recommend this tour.

He was informative, articulate and extremely knowledgeable with an excellent grasp of history.

This was by far the BEST TOUR we have ever taken! We opted for a PRIVATE TOUR for myself, my hubby and my daughter. This is definitely the way to go. You are not pigeon holed into toddling along with a big group and you’re not at the discretion of the group dictates. We started our tour with Zoltán in the old city of Budapest. He is very open, friendly and full of knowledge. He invites you to feel free to ask questions at any time, which we certainly did. He is a Hungarian native and you can tell he has a lot of pride in his country. I enjoyed his sense of humor and easy laid back manner. He was very adaptable to ice cream, restroom and water breaks and at several points we were able to direct our areas of interest based on our level of tiredness, need for shade from the elements or hunger. Another bonus: he is a fabulous photographer so we were able to capture all of us in the photos (better viewpoints than a selfie) and he also suggested a few points that would make for excellent photos. I believe one of them will be our holiday card this year. Areas we explored: Castle District, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church (the church is beautiful and a must see, I would recommend taking the 200 steps to the top to see all the bells and mechanisms and the view from the top if phenomenal), previous Royal Palace (which is under renovation) and we took the funicular from there to a public train ride to the Gellert Spa and the Church built into the Cave (which currently houses several priests). We plan to return to Budapest in the future and would like to take a Zoltán tour of the Pest side of the Danube next time or maybe even a day trek to explore the Hungarian countryside. If you’re looking for a TAILOR MADE tour to suit your needs, this is the perfect option - highly recommend!Christmas Week 2019 my wife and two adult sons flew into Budapest from New York. Christmas Week 2019 my wife and two adult sons flew into Budapest from New York. We are part Hungarian so this was a very special trip long overdue. This was not our first trip to Europe and I learned that the best way to really see and appreciate a destination is to find a good personal guide. Commercial tour operators cater to big groups and my experience is that often the guides hired by the tour operators work off of a script. If you ask a question not related to the script you get bs responses. Zoltan was fantastic and exactly what I wanted. After a quick email exchange while we were going through customs we met Zoltan. He was instantly welcoming and greeted us as if we were old friends. On the way from the airport he told us what we were looking at, what we could expect to see and what we must see while visiting there for the week. he shared some family stories, asked about our family and told us things to do in the days before our scheduled guide date. We spent a day in the city and then went to Vienna for two nights and returned in time for New Years Eve back in Budapest. Zoltan met us again the morning of 2 January and took us throughout Pest before going to Buda across the river. It seemed that he knew something about every building and statue we passed and there was not a question that he could not answer. He recommended several fine restaurants for dinner that were fantastic out of the way places. We stopped at least 10-12 times on our tour and we spent as much time as we wanted at each attraction. While our trip this time centered on Buda and Pest he suggested several places to visit on our next trip which are just outside the city that we will be doing as soon as this pandemic is over. He also brought us back to the airport the day that we left. Zoltan was so nice that we have stayed in touch in the subsequent months via WhatsApp. I cannot recommend his services enough. His fees were more than reasonable. If you are looking for a nice, safe, polite gentleman to escort you around a beautiful city that he truly loves, please do yourself a favor and hire this man and Rinett Guide Tours. My parents, and another couple they traveled with, recommended Zoltan to us. My parents, and another couple they traveled with, recommended Zoltan to us. My husband and I had only one day in Budapest so we were quick to work with Zoltan to book a tour on their recommendation. Zoltan was prompt to respond to my requests and helpful with arranging everything we requested. He picked us up on time at our hotel and had the day planned. He even recommended we make a stop for the parliament tour, whichever was outside of the plan, but an exceptional stop. Zoltan was knowledgeable and helpful and a wonderful guide to spend the day with exploring the city. He made our only day in Budapest full and memorable.
