Be prepared for large crowds!!!! This was my second time in Pompei and will never go again between April and November. It’s just too crowded to enjoy this amazing place. Go in January or February. Yeah the weather is colder but ALL the sites of Italy are far more enjoyable without the crowds. The guide was ok. He was a fill in. Hard to hear him over the noise of other tours.
