We actually enjoyed 3 private tours with Askos - Pompeii, a trip to Naples for the Archeology Museum, and a tour of Ercolano, Oplontis, Stabiae and Villa San Marco. The guides and drivers were uniformly outstanding. I felt sorry for everyone else, since we were having the ideal experience. The...
We actually enjoyed 3 private tours with Askos - Pompeii, a trip to Naples for the Archeology Museum, and a tour of Ercolano, Oplontis, Stabiae and Villa San Marco. The guides and drivers were uniformly outstanding. I felt sorry for everyone else, since we were having the ideal experience. They know how to avoid the crowds, and make the most of your time. The sites of Oplontis, Stabiae, and Villa San Marco were my favorites. Imagine having the remains of an ancient villa all to yourself - we experienced that 3 times over. Plus, on Ercolano, Oplontis et al day - they dropped us off for a lunch break at a restaurant where absolutely no one spoke English, and we had one of the best meals of our trip.
