Excellent experience overall! - Pompeii tour guide (Elvira, I believe?) was very knowledgeable and shared all she could during the extensive visit - Gennaro drove us from Pompeii Scavi to the stables, engaging everyone in friendly conversation, sharing excitedly about the local foods and attractions, etc. - Giuseppe thoroughly prepared our group for riding the horses, showing his deep care for each of them in the way he matched horse to rider and demonstrated his knowledge of their idiosyncrasies and needs. I've only ridden a handful of horses in recent years, but Giuseppe and his family's treatment of the horses was evident not only in their interactions with the horses but also in how the horses looked and acted. Lastly, as we rode the horses, Giuseppe offered guidance to each rider on how to better adjust/lead their respective horses. - Giuseppe drove us to the Cantina del Vesuvio (the winery), where we were welcomed with a rosé and led by the Russo family through the vineyard and winery to understand their wine-making process. This short tour was followed by an extensive meal with 5 other wines, a dessert, and a grappa shot at the end. We were incredibly stuffed by the end and could not finish all the food despite best efforts. - Giuseppe picked us up from the Winery and dropped us off at our respective locations. I believe that typically, the groups would be dropped off at Pompeii Scavi so visitors could take the Circumvesuviana back to wherever they are staying, but as it was Easter, and the Circumvesuviana stopped running earlier in the day, Guiseppe and Gennaro helped each couple figure out the best options for each. One thing to note: while the description notes that the wine tasting will be at the end of the experience, that means that the meal will also be at that time. Since our experience started at 10 AM, and we did not eat until around 3 PM (15:00), we were pretty hungry for the horse-riding portion. I'd advise you bring some snacks or make sure you have more than just a cappuccino for breakfast.Lauren_P

Sophia was excellent! She made sure everything ran smoothly and was very personable! Any questions we had she was sure to answer. Highly recommend. The horses were healthy and beautiful!

We actually had our experience switched with the 2 vesuvian wineries tour. The Pompei portion was short but there was bad weather and our guide Teresa did a great job! We had a lovely time at the wineries getting to know our companions on the tour.
