Your representative will pick you up from your hotel either in cairo or giza at 9 or 10 or 11 am , to start your tour to the Pharaonic Village which is a living museum of ancient Egyptian life. Sail along canals as you pass by recreated scenes of life in ancient Egypt, all painstakingly produced with the utmost detail and authenticity.

The one-hour guided cruise will introduce you to the history and lifestyle of Egypt in the time of pharaohs. Pass by scenes of everyday life, along with recreations of famous events such as the discovery of baby Moses floating on the Nile. A popular attraction at The Pharaonic Village is the replica of King Tutankhamun’s tomb as it was when discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. With the original tomb in the Valley of Kings long emptied of its treasures, this is a great chance to see the amazing sight if Egypt's only untouched pharaoh’s tomb. You can also learn about the ancient technique of mummification at a demonstration of the process.

The tour guide was very nice, he went way above and beyond, getting us koshary after we said something about wanting to try it, also he tried to step in and help us out with the person who answers the phone for this company as he had been extremely rude to me the day before. The village was more of a kids kinda event but they had some beautiful souvenirs in the shop area-The 5 starts is strictly for our guide (sorry forgot the name) and not for the company.

Turned out to be a full day tour. Was picked up from hotel on time. I wasn't informed that Village didn't open until 1100 until after pick up. Had it stated this in the information on website would have started tour later in day. Tour guide Emad offered to take me to papyrus shop before Village to fill in time.
Emad was also very helpful when shopping in Khan market he bartered with the stall owners for me. Over all I had a really good day.
