While sympathizing with the business operators on the ongoing unrest in Israel, I will not hesitate in pointing out their poor practice in issuing refunds. They still owe us a portion of our refund. My wife purchased a tour (booking number TI22710933) for our family of wife. We obviously cancelled it. We were expecting that in compliance with their published refund policy they would deduct 5% and return us the remaining amount. In reality they still owe us $634 of the estimated refund. They do not realize that this is not a negligible amount and that they must keep their end of the bargain. My wife has written them several emails but has not received any response other than the bot-generated response. I am not here to malign them, but I think after having waited for over 3 months it's about time, they either tell us that they are giving us back our money or be bold and brazen enough to tell us that we should forget about it. BUSINESS OWNERS, PLEASE ADDRESS SO THAT WE SO NOT PERMANENTLY SHY AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU.

Very well organised at the border both sides; the drivers were also good as well was the guide who seemed to be able to answer any question thrown at him. What was bad was the last meal near Petra at sand and stone, incredibly bland tasteless food which was a pity because the rest of the trip the food was v good.

Seems like a scam??? A really disappointing experience. Our travel from Jerusalem to Aqaba was all over the place and it seems they just take your money and then go and contract other, cheaper providers to do the work - while making a huge profit for doing nothing. Our shuttle to Aqaba was chaotic, people were left on the side of the road, we stopped unnecessarily in the middle of the night, some people didn't know where they were going and thought they were on the wrong bus. I tried to talk to Tourist Israel about this but they refuse to engage - it all seems dodgy and underhand

This tour was amazing, truly one of a kind and exceeded my expectation. The tour guide, Nizar Ali, made it a 6-star…too bad I can’t put 6-star. Highly recommended. But must warn you: it’s hot.

Petra and Wadi Rum are beautiful. We liked the hotels in the tour (camp in Wadi Rum and a night in Petra). Our guide, Ahmed, didn’t seem to have too much information about the sites and in general was not a good leader for the group, and ignored most of our questions (especially women’s). They took us to expensive restaurants and souvenir shops (TOURIST TRAPS). They made us pay a ridiculous amount for a lunch in Aqaba after spending the whole night in a bus and being tired and confused. We thought it was abusive. The worst part was the bus on the way to Eilat, which was 40 minutes late and the driver or the guide that helped us cross the border didn’t give us any information or instructions. We enjoyed our experience, but I would not travel with Tourist Israel again, as they are insulting their own customers.

The jeep experience in Wadi Rum was amazing and the camel ride was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Petra took my breath away and was the highlight of the trip. The border crossing was easier than expected but the bus ride from Jerusalem to the border was horrendous. The seats have NO leg room. I was fortunate enough to get an aisle seat so i could hang my legs in the aisle because they wouldn't fit between the seats. It was a miserable 5 hour trip to the border crossing.

Do not use Tourist Israel! Absolutely, go see Wadi Rum and Petra but Tourist Israel does not care about the safety of their participants. On our return trip, the roads were flooded and we were told that it would be impossible for us to go to Jerusalem until the next day. Obviously, not their fault but their appalling response leaves no doubt that you should avail yourself of the various other operators. Upon reaching the road block, they rerouted the bus to a mall and had us wait for about an hour and half. In that time, they cooked up a plan so halfbaked and callous that it is hard to believe. They told us that the roads were going to be closed until the next morning and that our return bus would leave at 830am They then dropped us on the side of the road and sent everyone off. The company's representative went home and everyone was left to fend for themselves. They refused to pay for or even coordinate sleeping arrangements, basically leaving 50 people on the street. Even though the government opened up shelter for people stranded in Eilat they did not take people there. Only when guests refused to leave the safety of the bus for the unknown of a city street did the police arrive and share that there was a shelter. The next morning, the bus was not there at 8:25. I called and they explained that it would now be leaving at 10am. This lack of communication and previous breaches of trust left us with no confidence they would deliver so we ended up taking an Egged bus as a return. They should be ashamed but I don't think they are. Stay away!

Amazing trip. They quickly take you from each amazing location to the next and make sure you get the most out of your time. Border crossing handled well. Visar was a great guide, thank you!

My wife and I joined this tour in February 2022. It was a memorable tour. The value is quite good. It is not a private tour, so you will be travelling with many other people. The company tries to maximize the number of people on the bus, which is understandable/reasonable. The trip involves a LOT of driving in a short period, but you will see Aqaba, Wadi Rum, beautiful rural spots in Jordan and Petra and then return to Jerusalem all in a 48 hour period. It is a pretty intense itinerary but that is to be expected. This is something you could not do on your own! So be ready for a lot of driving. Highlights included the jeep tour in Wadi Rum, the overnight camp in Wadi Rum (we didn't upgrade and found the "standard" arrangement to be excellent, but people who upgraded were happy as well). Make sure you read Tourist Israel's clear guidelines about what you need to bring with you to cross the Israel/Jordan border, as there are fees and cash is the best way to pay. The company has reps on both sides of the border to help you through (you must cross on foot). The tour will take you to an ATM in Aqaba if you want to obtain Jordanian dinars (obviously the best currency to use in Jordan). Our guide (Mithqal) was excellent and he had a good sense of humor.

Our experience was amazing! Wadi Rum was an unexpected pleasure especially our stay at the Bedoin Camp. We upgraded to the Martian Tent- igloo and it was totally worth it. Karem, our guide was professional and knowledgeable. It was obvious he enjoyed sharing his culture. The drive was long from Jerusalem but the driver was very safe and careful. I highly recommend this journey.

Amazing experience 4 day trip to Jordan. Tour guide Wael was knowledgeable, funny, and patient. Amazing experience though wish bus had usb charger plugs. Petra was amazing. Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp was amazing. The first driver didn’t speak much English and we didn’t know much of what was going on but Wael made up for him.

Whilst it felt like an age to get to Petra starting at 3am from Jerusalem via border control etc I cannot recommend this tour enough and was absolutely worth the early start. Petra was amazing, the treasury was impressive but there was so much more to see. Every few meters you walk you see something in the valley walls. The Bendiun camp exceeded expectations... the room was really comfortable with onsuite etc. Food was delicious and authentic. The Wadi Rum jeep tour was breathtaking with amazing views of the Jordan desert Our tour guide was also fantastic, did a great job of letting everyone know where they had to be and at what time, as well as what to expect at all of the places we visited. Well organised and would recommend to anyone.

The bus seats from Jerusalem to the border are very cramped if you are over 6ft tall - knee in the back of the seat cramped for 5hrs. The bus ride is pretty rough down there so not much chance you will be sleeping on the ride. Our first day had a surprise itinerary change and ended up being 19hrs long and all to see Petra for about 2.5hrs. When you get to Petra, the locals constantly try to sell you stuff. The Wadi Rum itin was fine but again 2hrs or so on the jeeps. So it's a 36hr commitment o fwhich you are on buses or at the border crossing for 19hrs, you sleep for 8hrs or so, and then you tour / dine for 9hrs.

I worked with Tourist Israel for some time to make sure I understood what the tour involved since it was going to be quite an expense for my family group of 3. All my questions were answered, and so we booked our tour and were really looking forward to it. Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel. It did take a lot of time and some pressure, but I did get a refund, which I appreciate. I can only give three stars because we didn't end up going on the tour. But, in the end, they did give me a refund.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour; offered variety: Mt Nebo, Jerash(!), Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba; interesting experiences with different people & cultures. Guides were fine; Ali in Petra could have shared more information: background, history about Petra. Jerash guide was excellent-well informed and shared much information about incredible Jerash. The transportation in Jordon was tight for 6 people. Our driver, Kayed was very responsive, cheerful, punctual, a safe driver, willing to meet any need and offering additional ideas & suggestions if interested.

Wow, what a trip this has been. First day in the desert was a lot of fun with the Toyota-cowboys taking us along. Petra was overwhelming, pictures cannot capture the dimensions of this amazing site. And the whole trip was very well put in historical and political context by our guide, Mizar.

We are appy with this tour - itinerary was very interesting, we visited Jerash, Mount Nebo, Petra, Wadi Rum and Agaba in 3 days. Our guide and driver (Muhhamed Ali Najjar and Kayed) treated us as a family and our group had only 3 people. We had a rough start of our journey - due to incompetency of the hotel stuff, we were not able to get a taxi and were 15 mins late for the departure. Tourism Israel handled this situation very well (at 5am!) and managed to hold the bus for us and save our trip.

We were very disappointed. The first thing we noticed, right when we started crossing the border, was that Jordanians don't mind to openly harass women. i got called many names, physically blocked by a person wanting to flirt with me and another person even grabbed my backpack and tried to force me aside to "talk"(all of this only at the border crossing!). im writing this because one of the main reasons i decided to take this tour was because i wanted to feel safe travelling with a guided group (because we are just two young women and we didn't feel safe travelling alone), but when all those things happened the guide just laughed it off and said stuff like "oh i know that guy, he's just a funny guy" instead of making us feel safe. later on, when we arrived to the first place they gave us 7 hours of "free time" though the guide told us "there's nothing to do here except for a boat ride" (which costs 100 dollars), so we just ate, visited the few shops around and then waited doing nothing. at night we had a jeep tour which was actually nice but short. later on they told us there will be a nightly star gazing though they just told us to go outside and look(no interesting or good viewpoints and no guide). in the morning they drove us to petra and we had a short guided tour and then 3 hours of "free time" again to do things that about an hour. Then we were brought back to the hotel at around 5 pm and the group+ guide left us by ourselves(just me and my friend), and told us the time of the buss that leaves to petra the next day for even more "free time"(by this point it was only us, not even a guide). when we went on the buss the driver stopped about 400 meters away from where he was supposed to take us and told us he'd only take us there if we paid him extra(which was just pointless and annoying), and the we spent the whole day wandering around by ourselves until walking back to the place the ride would take us back to Israel at the end of the third day. (i'm assuming they left us on the third day because there weren't enough people that signed up for the three day tour so they just added us to the two day tour and left us on the third day. And that's exactly what we were trying to avoid in the first place when we booked a guided tour!!!)

We visited both Israel and Jordan via Tourist Israel. The trip was planned from New Zealand, via only email. The communication and planning was first class and I had no concerrns via this method. The trips themselves were well organised. The guides fantasttic and committed. We certainly got a decent understanding of the country and its many attractions and would return with same company and see in more detail. Thanks Tourist Israel, travel genius! Ruth , New Zealand
