Peljesac Peninsula & Korcula Island Day-Trip from Dubrovnik

Your sightseeing starts as soon as you depart from Dubrovnik when your tour takes a short break on the Dubrovnik Bridge for a scenic view of the town. You will then continue along the Adriatic Coast, learning about various points of interest along the route. When you reach Ston you will enjoy sightseeing and free time. Ston is famous for its old salt flats and for having the second longest city walls in the world (after the Chinese walls). After sightseeing free time, the tour continues towards Orebić. Along the way, you will take in the panoramic scenery of the famous vineyards of Peljesac peninsula. Discover beautiful countryside and old settlements while listening to commentary on the wineries of Peljesac and on the area's mussel-breeding. In Orebić the tour boards the boat to Korčula. The island of Korčula presents a unique contact with the beautiful nature, and a thousand-year-old cultural tradition and history. You will have an opportunity to visit the birth house of Marco Polo, the church of St. Marco and many other monuments. Return to Orebić by boat and proceed to Potomje. Upon arrival in Potomje you will visit one of the most famous Croatian wineries. Your tasting will include famous wines as well as domestic brandy and liquors in the company of an expert from the winery. The tour returns to Dubrovnik in the afternoon.

Interesting tour. Good to have the chance to see Ston. 3 hours in Korcula was just right. Wine tasting was fun. Guide was knowledgeable and considerate.

A nice time
The tour was advertised as 12 hours, but I was dropped off at around 10 hours, 15 minutes, which means we might have spent more than just one hour in Ston, which is not much time to see the famous City Walls, etc. Korcula and the wine tasting were fun though. And, my reservation said I would be picked up at my guesthouse, but I was notified one day before that I would need to go to a larger hotel 10 minutes walk from my guesthouse, on a busy road with no sidewalks.

Recomendable.

Zak was our guide and he was a good one. A very relax day and very chilling wandering in the old streets, having oysters by the sea. Such a good day!

Our driver/guide Držen was amazing, very informative and extremely professional, he was the best part of the tour. For the first time in a long series of unfortunate experiences there was enough time to visit the sites. But for some reason the trip was set to last much longer (12 hours instead of just 10) so maybe an additional stop at the Arboretum (which was right on our route) could have been included. Also, as a small side note, it would be more helpful to stop for toilets at some gas station or something instead of having to pay for it or having to buy something at some restaurant or bar.

small group and organized schedule. Lovely guide had some flexibility of schedule. We can enjoy full of free time at all stops. however if you need escorting places and detail explanations, this tour is not suitable. we have to find a way to enjoy by ourselves. Ston and Korcula is simple town. So anybody enjoy by themselves. In addition, winery where we went is popular but not high-end class. It is shabby. I could not enjoy real “posip wine” than I expected.

Really nice day trip
The day trip was very interesting, the town Ston and island Korcula are beautiful. The wine tasting is very fun. We made a stop on the way back at a mussel and oysters farm/restaurant which was really delicious and a high light of the trip. The guide was very engaged and speaks great English and Spanish

Very enjoyable trip
Small group of 7. Organisation of the trip was good. A map was provided via email for the bus pick up point. Vladimir our driver and guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Ston was a small town with rich history. Korcula is a very beautiful island and 3 hrs is sufficient to go around the island on your own and have a nice meal. There are many restaurants by the coast which is a nice place to have lunch. I was told by another member of the group that most restaurants don’t serve food after 1pm. We ate around noon so we had no problems. We managed to visit Marco Polo’s house which was under renovation. The workmen actually closed the gates but saw us lingering outside and opened the door for us to go in and view. One of them tried to tell us (I think) that the house is open only in the mornings. Wine tasting after Korcula was excellent. One of the wines we tasted won a silver award in 2018. We had a tour of the wine cellar. All in all, the trip was excellent and very enjoyable.

Beautiful island
A beautiful island and a scenic trip. Not a massive amount to do in the old town. Some nice restaurants and shops. I felt like I had a little too much time. The stop at Ston was relatively uneventful. The highlight for me was hearing about the history of the area and then recognizing the Venetian influences.

Splendid day!
This is a day out you really wouldn't want to miss out on. We were picked up at our hotel and so pleased to find that it was more like a private tour, there was only 8 of us. So much better to travel this way as we got to know our fellow travelers. Our driver Kris was fantastic, so knowledgeable and friendly. The visit to a local winery on the way back was the perfect end to a perfect day!
