The currents are quite strong here but dedicated swimming places are marked out for safety. The diversity of fish is incredible and the waters are so deep it's amazing

I was a bit underwhelmed at the Pelican Rock snorkeling experience. The trip to the Rock was short - in fact, we were dropped there and picked up at an arranged time. So technically, it was a water taxi ride, and for that, it was too expensive. The snorkeling at the rock was nice, we saw many colorful fishes. The beach was pretty crowded (from where we went into the water) but in the water it was nice. The pickup came on time as agreed - so no complaints about our transport

No fish in the snorkeling area but plenty where the boats anchor due to feeding fish by glass bottom boats!!

My fiancé and I needed a boat/beach day. I came across this booking and we did a bit of sightseeing by the arch. I appreciate the email notification of the change in check in time- it was no inconvenience to us but glad they communicated it anyways. Checked in at Dock1 & waited for the captain to get the rest of the group. The group with us was really kind. And the captain dropped us off at Pelican Rock. We’re experienced with snorkeling, so if you’ve never done it before you should probably learn elsewhere. This isn’t “that kind” of tour very hands off & independent to the traveler as we actually very much liked. Pelican Rock was warm, clean, the sun and sand felt great. Saw tons of colorful fish by the rocks. My fiancé and a few other swimmers jumped off the high rock for fun. And as promised we were picked up in an hour & headed back to the Marina. Thanks Little Greg for a fun time! & thanks to our captain who took the great photo of us.

There just aren’t many tour operators who would bother taking a single (1) passenger out on a tour. Captain Elias was gracious enough to do so, and I got a private tour! We went out from the marina to Pelican Rock and he gave me a preview of the fish in the area by tossing some snacks for them. Wow! Then we went off to the Arc passing Lover’s Beach and a couple others very small with no name on our way. As you can see from my photo of the Arc, there were not enough boats to ruin the view. Elias is clearly knowledgeable about Cabo and the Sea of Cortez—I learned a lot from him. Like all the beaches are public! We chatted about many different things and it was a pleasure. We returned to Pelican Rock, which is actually a beautiful beach with rock formations on which there were brown pelicans galore, juvenile gulls, and even a cormorant. I’m not the most experienced snorkeler and prefer to get in the water from a boat. Elias said it wasn’t okay to do so at Pelican, so beach entry it was. The water was cold at first touch, and thereafter refreshing. I never got chilled. The fish!!! I love that in the ocean creatures swim right up to you, no fear, just curiosity. I saw a trumpet fish, an adorable small puffer, scads of yellow-striped tangs (?) a black angel with dramatic orange tail, coral and filter feeders on the rocks — couldn’t tell much about them because the waves kept pulling me away. They were pink though, a bright pink. Oh and a Parrot Fish! He was quite large, a brilliant green with blue markings. I was so astonished to see him I forgot I had my camera!😂 I chose to snorkel about an hour. Captain Elias picked me up when he said he would. On the way back to the marina I described the fish I’d seen, and he told me their names. I found him accommodating and knowledgeable and would go out with him again! Best snorkel of my vacation.

I booked this for me and my two kids (14 and 8 years). Communication with the owner was always courteous and he was even able to accommodate us when we needed to reschedule. The snorkeling experience was a disaster. Owner contracted with "Little Greg" and his boat. He was dismissive and unenthusiastic, and took us to a spot which he said was 1200+ feet deep, and provided no training, no explanation, and no safety guidelines. He just told us to wear the snorkeling gear and jump. My daughter and I were not confident swimmers and didn't dare to get in the water. My son is a strong swimmer and was eager to get in. However, since he had never snorkeled before and didn't get any training, we didn't realize that part of his snorkeling pipe was back in the water when he went in. He took in mouthfuls of salty water, and I saw him flailing about and coughing up. He was so uncomfortable that he didn’t want to be in the water for more than 5 mins and was sick afterward. Right beside us, I saw another group out snorkeling, where the kids were being led by a swimmer, holding on to a safety ring and guiding them through the water as they snorkel. I had no idea that I had signed up for something that does not include any guidance and will just abandon us into the water without any help or training. We essentially ended up paying $155 for just a boat ride around Pelican beach and Lover's beach, something you can get in a water taxi for just $5 per person.

We had a great time snorkeling as a family. We saw a lot of fish and a sea loin on the rock. Little Greg was a great boat guide. We loved seeing the arch and other rock formations.

We enjoyed the views of the rocks and the arch. However, the boat driver dropped us off at pelican rock, which was a very rocky area where snorkeling was anything but relaxing. We did not see any fish because of the high waves and were disappointed that the area was filled with boats and had no group instruction, as advertised. My friend didn’t even snorkel because it was honestly a dangerous spot. Then the boat driver said he would be back in an hour, but it actually was closer to 2 hours and we had no way of contacting him. It was a little sketchy, and I’m glad he eventually came back, but we were not overall impressed. Not worth the money. Good views, but would not pay for them.

So to be clear, Pelican Rock is awesome -- great fish, a nice rock you can climb and jump off, etc. But this "snorkeling and sightseeing adventure" by Aqua Activities is a scam. It is literally just connecting you to a water taxi (which would charge you $5 to take you to Pelican Rock), and the guy will have a handful of old, cheap, broken snorkeling masks. Seriously. There's no "tour", and this isn't an outfit with its own boat -- it's just a way for someone to charge you an outrageous price online and keep most of it as a commission. It's kind of like Airbnb but without any quality control or review. So don't book ahead of time -- when you get to Cabo, people will be falling all over themselves to taxi you out to Pelican Rock (it's super close -- you ca

Enjoyed the snorkeling and was surprised at all the fish since the area had a lot of people in it. Easy in and out of the boat and enjoyed the boat ride around the area to see the arch. I was under the impression that we would be snorkeling at three different locations, but it was only one. Unfortunately, it was not a really warm day so it was cold getting out of the water.

While on our cruise we sent our children snorkeling at pelican rock, they were so happy and excited with the tour. I wish I could do it too.

Eagle divers did an amazing job with this tour! We went out early and beat all the crowds to see the arch and sea lions. We also snorkeled by pelican rock. By the time we finished many more people had arrived. Our tour guide was so helpful. He gave us a bottle of did for the fish. A couple of bottle squeezes and we were swarmed by all kinds of tropical fish. The tour was just my sister and I. I highly recommend you give them your business. The tour was great and less than half the price of an excursion through the cruiseline.

We came here on a cruise and we're glad we waited to purchase our tickets until we got off the cruise ship. We paid $40 for both my wife and I to get a water taxi to and from Pelican Island. We brought our own gear but they have it there for you if you need it. The Highlight of the day was Adrian. Adrian is the attendant at Pelican Rock. My wife and I were having a hard time getting out in the water due to the current and Adrian had us hold onto a life vest and he pulled my and and I out into the water. He also fed the fish while we were out there. There were more fish than I had ever seen. Thanks to Adrian we had a great time and saw a ton of fish. If you're going to go here you have to have Adrian help you. You won't regret it and it's only about $20 to have him show you all the fish. Well worth it! Adrian's e-mail is [email protected] and his phone number is 011+52+1-624-355-7138.

The sea life was incredible, and the rock formations at Land's End were amazing. Rodrigo is a wonderful host, and my kids and I loved the experience! I only wish we could have stayed in the water even longer. The equipment was mediocre (mismatched fins, cheap masks and snorkels, and oversized life preservers that were ill-suited for the kids) but the experience was awesome!
