The tour will take you to Miramare Castle which stands on the tip of the promontory overlooking the sea. The Castle is surrounded by a beautiful park with valuable botanical species where one can relax. This noble residence commissioned by Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg and his wife Charlotte was built between 1856 and 1860.

Our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful and understanding. He knew that we were not able to do a walking tour of the castle grounds and arranged a driving tour for us. Will definitely use him when we come back!!

Miramare Castle Just off the coast road is seaside Miramare Castle a site well worth seeing. You can easily spend 40 minutes touring the inside and as much time as you like on the magnificent grounds. Easy access and splendid for families! Helpful hint: Try to park on the approach drive - it’s free! Then walk to the castle on the seaside sidewalk. Look over the seawall, on any sunny day, and see the most beautiful sunbathing bikini-bodies Trieste has to offer. I enjoyed this as much as the castle!Meri was excellent and really personalized the tour once she knew I was interested in Roman history. The Miramare Castle was definitely worth the tour by itself. I would do this tour again and I really think Meri made it special.
