What to expect
A short bike ride through some of Palm Springs historic neighborhoods will lead guests to the world famous Indian Canyons, ancestral home of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. There, guests will take a short nature walk along a running stream in a beautiful palm tree oasis. The return ride features more Palm Springs neighborhoods and a stop at Kreem, a boutique ice creamery for a sweet treat when open. This is a group tour.

The day was beautiful weather. The bikes were in Excellent condition, they were comfort style. The staff at check in was polite and efficient. Our guide, Ben, was excellent. He knew so much about he plants, animals and topography as well as history of the Palm Springs era. I couldn’t make the incline, but luckily it was only me, and Ben lent me his power assist bike to finish the climb and joined us on my bike. The hike was beautiful, scenic views, lovely. I would highly recommend this tour. If you are not used to riding up hills, I would request an e bike with power assist. I’m pretty sure they can be added to your reservation, but check ahead. Ben was a fantastic tour guide. He showed us some lovely homes in Palm Springs and was a wonderful cheerleader as we braved the final incline into Indian Canyon. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, he made an extra effort to answer all my 15-year-old daughter’s questions about every species of animal in the desert! He even gave some additional recommendations for the other days of our trip. This tour was worth every penny, and be sure to generously tip your guide!We had a bike tour on a Monday morning with Ben. Mornings are great this time of year due to the temps. Our ride was great but big, long hill up to the Canyon can be a deal-breaker for some. We had a bike tour on a Monday morning with Ben. Mornings are great this time of year due to the temps. Our ride was great but big, long hill up to the Canyon can be a deal-breaker for some. My husband and I selected E-bikes (recent hip replacement) and teenage son picked the hard work version. Great success. Several bikes at the shop when you start out and they take great time and pay attention to ensuring the 'fit' is correct for bike and helmet. I haven't ridden much in the last few years but it was not a problem. 1 mile hike in the canyon that is a little hilly but beautiful. Palm stand, water, flowering plants - it was perfect. Ride through great area of mid-century modern homes was a great way to wrap the ride. We will do this again!
