Visit a mozzarella farm. Paestum is famous for the mozzarella production, made by the milk of the local buffalos. Visit the local farm and look at the process of cheese production and taste delicious and fresh mozzarella!

Then you get the chance to visit one of the most beautiful archaeolocal site in the world: here you can see the three magnificent temples dating back to Greek times. Trasfer to Paestum and visit at local best mozzarella cheese farm where you can see the stables of buffalos and at the end you can taste some freshly made mozzarella!

Lunch break in the farm (Optional, not included): Vegetables from the garden, two first courses to choose from the menu, mozzarella and ricotta cheese and a sweet.

Transfer to the Archaeological Area of Paestum. Admire the magnificent ancient ruins conserved in the National archaeological museum of Paestum.

Stop At: Tempio di Hera II, Via Magna Grecia 919, 84047 Paestum, Capaccio-Paestum Italy

Temple of Hera II in Paestum (Poseidonia), earlier and still often known as ”Temple of Poseidon” or ”Temple of Neptunus” due to misidentification. This is the more northern and younger of the two temples of Hera in Paestum.

Founded in the Caesarean period (around 50 BC), it is one of the oldest examples of this kind of buildings.

Stop At: Temple of Athena, Via Magna Grecia 919 Parco Archeologico di Paestum, 84047 Paestum, Capaccio-Paestum Italy

The Temple of Athena or Temple of Ceres (c. 500 BC) is a Greek temple found at Paestum, built near the so-called Basilica which is much larger than it.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Paestum, Via Magna Grecia 919, 84047 Paestum, Capaccio-Paestum Italy

Next to the archaeological park is the National Archaeological Museum of Paestum, founded in 1952, that the houses artefacts dating from the VII century BC up to the VII century AD. The museum is closed for maintenance on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month.
- Transfer back to the Port or other location passing through the city of Salerno, Amalfi Coast and Naples

Loves the tour of the grounds and buffalos at the mozzarella farm, with a taste testing at the end. Our guide for Paestum, Marco, was very knowledgeable of the history and stories behind each site. Would definitely recommend (although for only two people, it was a bit pricey).
