It was very cold! Bundle up! Edna was great and we enjoyed our tour very much. We saw several horses and enjoyed the bumpy ride on the beach. Thanks everyone!!
Great tour. Great tour guide (Rev was our guide). Great experience to see the horses. Learned a lot about the area and about the horses. I would definitely go on this again when I'm the area. I went in December and saw over 20 horses.
Our guide Rev, was super engaging, informative and definitely knew where to go to give us a great tour! My grandkids, especially my 10 yo grandson is ready to go back! Highly recommend!
Although it was cold due to winds and the high tide it really was a one of a kind experience. Visiting the outerbanks for a birthday celebration and found that a lot of adventures were closed due to the off season. Corolla Outback’s guide Justin did not disappoint!
The end of the tour was absolutely breathtaking. Driving down the beach we saw about 10 horses walking/running towards us.
Edna was a fantastic guide and made sure we saw as many of the horses as possible! She gave us lots of history about the island, helpful information about the horses, and had the insight of a local. And driving over the sand roads and dunes was a blast-Thanks again!
Saw lots of horses. Paul was very knowledgeable. The tour was great and about the right length. Friendly and accommodating. Comfortable seating in the bed of an F350.
It is difficult to pick a favorite part of this tour!!! The ride along the beach, the numerous horses seen, the history of the horses and the area!!! Simply superb!!! We will choose it again when we in the Outer Banks!!! Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly...Excellence in all aspects!!!
Everything was wonderful! Our driver was very informative and attentive. Great time! It was an awesome time had by all!
Edna our tour guide was wonderful! She answered any questions our group had, took time to make sure we saw an abundance of horses & made us feel very safe. The views were absolutely stunning
We had a great tour! Paul was our guide, he was great! His passion for the island, horses and his job shows. We found 17 horses! Paul shared stories and history with us regarding the area/island along with his family. We learned a lot that we didn't know. It was cold and windy, definitely to be expected in November....blankets, and winter layers needed this time of year for this tour.
What a great Thanksgiving morning taking your wild horse tour. Edna was our guide and she was kind and informative. Great fun!
Edna (the guide) Rocks!! She was outgoing, experienced, engaged, good humored, and knowledgeable. She seems to be doing what she loves and it shows! Fastastic trip for the five of us. Thank you Ms. Edna!
My best friend, Lily, and my son, Fin, and I had a wonderful time on the tour. We were visiting Lily for Thanksgiving. Fin was eager to see the “little horses”. Paul was our guide. It was the first tour for my son. He is 11 years old and loves animals. He had a wonderful time. He told a friend that you “can’t feed them or they could die.” Lily and I have gone on the tour during the summer. The three of us got mighty cold in the back of the truck. Luckily we had layers and blankets. If you were going to go this time of year make sure you dress warmly. I’d also suggest a hot toddy or hot chocolate beforehand and after for that matter Paul told us a story about being related to Blackbeard. From our recollection he said Blackbeard was his grandfather. We must be wrong about that because he is too young for that to be true. Regardless it was a fun discussion over dinner that night. It also peaked our interest in the history of the Outer Banks. We knew a bit about pirates and sunken ships. From my 11-year-old’s perspective it awakened his interest and imagination about the era. Come visit us in San Diego and we will show y’all around Colleen 619-804-6480
It was cold and windy so we were happy that our guide was able to still find horses. The ride on the beach and through the dunes was an adventure!
An awesome experience. Our guide was outstanding. Great value for the price. He knew all the right places for horse viewing. Knowledge of the area and history was great.
The driver (Rev) was great at locating the horses (counted at least 35) and story telling about the origin of the horses and the history of the area.
Paul was a great tour guide & funny very entertaining. Learned a lot, saw a lot of horses. Definitely would recommend
We saw a lot of horses including a small one. Our tour guide was knowledgeable an imparted new information about the horses, the shore, lighthouses and seashells.
Our tour guide, Ms. Edna, was fantastic. She was very friendly and informative and welcomed questions. We saw several horses and learned about their habits and how they are being protected. Driving down Route 12- on the beach- was fun! This tour is a MUST if you are in Corolla!
We had a great time! Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. It was very cool to get to see some parts of the outer banks that we wouldn’t have gotten to see otherwise!
We had an amazing time from riding down the gorgeous beach, to actually going behind the dunes and looking for the horses. Edna was extremely knowledgeable about the horses, the harem groups, and mostly where to go to find them! It was an excellent experience and one I definitely recommend to anyone visiting OBX!
Beautiful Magical Fun Adventure! We had a great group and tour guide/driver. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! We saw lots of beautiful 🐎 🐴 🐎 wild horses in their natural habitats throughout Corolla. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend!💫
Nice tour. Tour guide lived in area and was very knowledgeable. Got to see horses at several different locations. Stop by center of town, which had a fire station and mailboxes.
We really enjoyed the tour! Paul was an excellent guide! We saw horses in several different areas and learned a lot about them and this area.
Riding down the beautiful beach in the back of the truck was thrilling. Looking for and finding the wild horses was an adventure. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. There were tons of photo opportunities. We got out of the truck to take pictures a few times while still maintaining the 50 feet legal distance from the horses. This tour was worth every penny. Highly recommend.
Had an absolute blast on the tour. Saw horses in a few different places throughout the journey. Our tour guide Brad was knowledgeable and entertaining. Next trip to the area will definitely book again.
The wild horse adventure was Fabulous!!! Edna, our guide was full of information. We learned so much. We saw lots of horses. I'm so happy!!!
Beautiful animals that you can take pictures with but if your going on a cold or windy day definitely bring a jacket!
