We had a wonderful time exploring Crete and its deserts and remote areas. Our wonderful tour guide, Louise, was a pleasure to be around with. We were placed in a group of exclusively French tourist, but that did not hinder Louise from taking good care of us during the excursion. I also want to note that they did call us and offered us to reschedule to be in a German group, but we did not want to wait a day longer and were fine being with the French. So noboyis placed in a group where they fell uncomfortable or they don't understand the language. We got to see a lot of beautiful things and had a a great time exploring Crete. Louise was a great tour guide and made it fun to be around. It was a pleasure having her with us. We highly recommend this trip as we had a lot of fun and got to see awesome places in good company. Kudos to the team and the organisation.

We had the best time ever with Taina our guide! She made this one unforgettable.. In short: we rode 4X4 jeeps on/off road, ate some delicious Greek food and learn a bit about the history and culture of the Island. Highly recommended!

Recommend to everyone who want to see real Crete, villages, try greek food and enjoy nature. Jeeps are good, you drive by yourself, road and offroad. Much better than any bus. Guide Vassilis is very good and helpfull. 😊

A very enjoyable day driving the jeep with some great off road sections - staff were friendly and the views were amazing. I would have liked the opportunity to have stopped a few more times- only briefly at various viewpoints to take a few pictures - but this is only a small point. Very enjoyable and a trip I would recommend

The attitude from the staff I would rate with 5 stars, they were friendly, communicative and answered all the questions. But the safari itself - overall I would suggest this to people 35+ (no offence for this age group :) ). We took a car in rent one day before and saw way much more for less money, had more emotions. It could be that if we didn't take the car rent before we would be more happier with the safari ride.. I do not know if it was meant like this but we went both ways on the same road, although the map was different. If it was meant like this - I suggest the agency to change. If You think, reading the title "Jeep safari" that it will be crazy offroad - no, it will not. This is deffinitely great for just a calm, chilly ride with family. But if You go with Your friends - take a car and go, go, go!!!

The jeepsafari to the Lassithi Plateau was fun and well organized. You get picked up at your hot (or close by) and brought to the main office just outside of hersonissos. There you get an explanation about the day and the jeeps after which the group is divided over the jeeps (4 persons per jeep). You may drive the Jeep yourself which makes it more fun of course. On the main routes you drive to an oil factory which you visit. Ater that a walk through the small town before getting back into the jeeps and going off road for the first time. The off roads parts are fun but remain really accessible. I've read in another review of the same trip that it is unaafe or that you are "risking your life" but that highly exaggerated. Well depends on your own dare-level of course... Anyways, for us in general the off-road tracks where nice but not all the way. This was ide since I'm 7 months pregnant and didn't want to be shaken all over the car. But in other circumstances, it would have been a bit to "dull" in my opinion. I would have loved more adventure if I wasn't pregnant. Back to the day: after the first off road you arrive back on the main road where you so the last climb from 500 uptill 900m where the Lassithi Plateau is located. On the Plateau you visit a monastery, have a lovely lunch in a nice taverna and go for a second time off-road between the fields (so all flat). You end the day at the beach side, to reach it, the main part is on the road but there is one last (3rd) offroad strip to conquer. At the beach we had 45 minutes of free time before returning back "home" In general, the organization of the day was great. We booked a couple of days in advance in the office and there as well the staff is really friendly and not pushy (what we appreciated). They explained the different options, but didn't push is to book, we could thinks about it and return later of simply book online. The Jeep safari is one of their own trips, would definitely recommend it for the splendid views and to get to see the area a bit. 1 remark concerning the Jeep safari: (some of) the jeeps did have there best time. We were in a grey Jeep nr7 which made a lot of noise. Like things were going to fall off any moment. The rattling noises did made you feel a bit at unease, but at the same time we had a good laugh and everytime we heard them, at least we were sure we didn't loose anything yet 😅

Leuke dag gehad tijdens de jeepsafari, boeken ging makkelijk via de website. Kreeg keurig een bevestiging en 1 dag van te voren de afhaal- en afzetlocatie. Netjes op tijd afgehaald en bij aankomst op het terrein duidelijke tekst en uitleg over de auto en regels voor de bestuurder. Super leuke route gereden door het binnenland met diverse stops bij een authentiek dorpsplein, een grot, olijffabriek en bij een restaurant met naar mijn mening een heerlijke griekse maaltijd! En uiteraard het off road rijden is erg leuk, je ziet dan weer hele andere dingen! Absoluut een aanrader voor de afwisseling van het zwembad of strand!

Programme respecté et très bien organisé. Je recommande vivement cette journée et ce prestataire. Nous avons payé moins cher qu'en réservant par l'hôtel et avons fait plus de choses. LE TOP.

Une journée agréable, nous faisant découvrir la Crête authentique, nous permettant ainsi d'être en contact avec les Crêtois lors des arrêts dans les villages. La visite de la coopérative de l'huile d'olive et du monastère étaient vraiment bien.

Alors oui c'était pas de chance qu'il se mettre à pleuvoir après 20 minutes de safari en chemin .... mais non merci de courir sous des trombes d'eau poir aller boire un café dans un vieux café de l'île... qui finalement sera annulé puisque impossible de traverser la route à pied ... et là..... fin du safari .... nous étions 30 à faire un safari jeep ... sur la route ..... sous la pluie ... mon mari n'a pi conduire que sur la route .... et encore , nous avons de la chance car la tente de notre jeep (qui n en sont pas d'ailleurs) fermait et ce n'était pas le cas de beaucoup.... des gens du groupe se faisant tremper en roulant .... déjà que nous étions trempés d'avoir marché sous les trombes d'eau pour aller visiter la fabrique d'huile d'olive . Voitures en piteux états .... le voyant rouge moteur c'est "normal " apparement .... Odeurs inquiétantes du moteur , on ne se sent pas vraiment en sécurité mais soit ... Arrêt repas crétois .... cuisse de poulet patates .... certes très bon mais .... comme en France quoi .... arrêt aussi à un monastère... on ne sait rien de ce monastère.... aucune information .... Le dernier arrêt était dans un village vide et calme ou nous avions 45 minutes à passer pendant que nos guides buvaient le café dans un bar .... re-pluie .. du coup pas de baignade ... On aurait tellement préféré rentrer après la première averse plutôt Que d'être trempés gelés et serrés toute la journée .... Nous avons demandé (tout le groupe vraiment mécontents) une ristourne car via l'hôtel nous avons payé 78 € /personne pour rouler sur route ,ne voir aucun paysage et avoir froid ... des visites sans intérêt .... et refus catégorique de l'agence de location des "jeep". Très très très déçus.... à 50 euros pour 4 personnes nous aurions loué une voiture pour faire la même chose... 😬

We hebben op 08-09 de jeepsafari op het Lassithi-Plateau mogen meemaken. Vorig jaar hebben we al kennis gemaakt met Eye Travel (onder leiding van Gijs). Omdat we toen al erg enthousiast zijn geraakt en we dit jaar terug keerden naar Kreta, wilden we de nieuwe Lassithi Jeepsafari gaan doen. We hebben deze wederom rechtstreeks online geboekt, wat het allemaal al super gemakkelijk maakt. Met de bevestiging van Taina ben je dan zeker van deelname. Dit keer deden we de Jeepsafari onder leiding van Roger. We kenden hem nog van vorig jaar en hij ons ook. Roger is een goede gids, wat ons positief verraste. Hij neemt zijn rol goed serieus en staat voor volledige veiligheid, omdat sommige stukken toch wel serieuze aandacht benodigd heeft. Helaas hadden we met onze jeep zo af en toe wat moeilijkheden, vandaar ook nummer 13, hihi. Het blijft techniek en deze wagens hebben ook wel wat te verduren natuurlijk. We hebben leuke stops gemaakt. Je komt bij een klooster, waar je ook rond kunt kijken. Een leuke stop in een ietwat verlaten dorpje, waar we iets hebben gedronken. De lunchstop is gezellig en het eten erg smaakvol. In de middag zijn we nog bij een olijfolie fabriek geweest, waar we dan ook nog wat souvenirs hebben gekocht. De dag werd afgesloten in Sissi, waar gelegenheid was om even te zwemmen en iets te drinken. Al met al weer een geslaagde excursie en vooral leuk om iets verder te kijken dan de plaats waar je verblijft.

Een beetje een tegenvaller doordat er maar heel weinig off road gereden werd, het grootste deel van de route is gewoon met een normale huurauto te rijden. De Kia jeep die wij kregen had bijna 300.000 kilometer gereden en was helemaal gaar! In Nederland zou deze Kia nooit meer aan het verkeer deel mogen nemen! Verder werd er veel te vaak gestopt om de tijd vol te maken, de maaltijd onderweg stelde niet veel voor (een half gare kippenpoot met een aardappel) en de gids was ook niet super vriendelijk. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar...
