The fort was a half hour walk from my hotel, which was next to the Seef Mall. The ruins of the fort made for a pleasant and interesting afternoon of exploration. There is a museum nearby that offers an electronic guided tour. You have to pay for this, and for the entrance to the museum, but the ruin itself is free. There is an alfresco cafe next to the sea where you can have a quiet drink and chat. Apparently, there is a light show at night, although we didn't stay for it.Julin_J
