Most places were within walking distance, so the free transport was only a minor attraction.all round good valueThe cheapest way to see Nantes' attractions and access to metro system. With the City Pass, great discounts, but usually no extra charge. Very organized. The Tour Office was extremely helpful and organized our days for us.

Only one draw back, if you purchase online, you still have to collect at the tourist office, which does not open till 10am, and when we were there, it took nearly an hour, as there was a big queue on that day. I booked on line for this pass and ended up still to go to collect it and have the pass validated which seemed to take ages at the tourist information office. The price of buying directly or on-line in advance seems to be exactly the same so not quite sure about the best way to purchase. We collected our passes which had been booked a week plus in advance only to be told that there were no places available on the river cruise something we had been looking forward to on either Saturday or Sunday (the days our 48 pass covered) so frankly I'm not sure if we would have bought a pass or just paid at each attraction we went to......the cost was marginal. We travelled at the very end of September so if we couldn't get on I doubt anyone purchasing a ticket high season would have no chance. Some of the attractions advertised are only in French....the walking tour and the commentary on the tour train. So if you don't speak the local language again its maybe not the best. Otherwise it was easily accepted at all the attractions although you still had to stand in line with everyone paying for individual entry.

I was unable to even get to the start of the tour. Nantes is one of the most difficult cities to navigate in by auto. I had problems
not only finding parking, but even finding the tour office to pick up my voucher. I finally decided to your the chateaus around Nantes by auto on my owm. In fact, I found it much easier getting around by auto OUTSIDE Nantes. Perhaps I will try to do a bus tour on my own on Sunday. I cannot date the Nantes one day pass because I was not able to use it.
